Midoriya's POV

Todoroki mumbled a quite 'shut up,' at all of the teasing. My face began to become sore from the smiling. "Okay! We're going to lunch now! Have fun!" Todoroki said, pulling me out if the room with him. "Ah, wait a sec!" I said as we walked pass my room. I opened my door, threw in the concealer on my bed, got my phone, wallet, and keys before closing my door again, walking back to Todoroki.

Todoroki, being the gentleman he is, opened and closed the door as we walked out of the house. I grabbed his hand hesitantly and gently, watching his face as I did. "You don't have to be so timid about wanting to hold your boyfriend's hand." Todoroki said, not looking back at me as he spoke. "O-Okay. " I replied, looking down at my feet, almost weirded out by not having red on my feet. "Where are we going?" I asked, knowing we were going to eat but not where. "Guess." Todoroki said. "Uh, I... I don't know." I replied, genuinely having no clue.

"Maybe that café in the mall?" I guessed. "Yep, good job." Todoroki replied, smiling softly at me. Another wave of heat flashed onto my face as I looked down to the black boots Mic lent me. "Do you think they sell gyros?" I asked, my stomach deciding what it wanted. "You could've say that before. If the café sells gyros, that's where we'll eat, if not we'll go somewhere else." Todoroki said, making sure his point came across clearly. "Ah, if you want to eat at the café, I'm okay to go there! Don't make my opinion seem so important..." I said, trailing off at the end, holding his hand a bit tighter.

"You know, I told you to guess to try and get you to tell me where you wanted to eat. I do it to my sister because if I don't, I get 'I don't know,' or 'I don't care,' and then she complains because I didn't pick what she wanted." Todoroki explained, chuckling lightly as we walked to the mall. "Oh. I actually guessed." I said, scratching at my wrist a bit. "Hey, don't do that." Todoroki said, removing his hand from mine to slap my hand away.

My hand followed his against my will. As soon as my right hand was slapped away, my left had taken his again. "Uh." Both Todoroki and I froze as my fingers tangled with his while it was still in the air. "O-Oh! I'm sorry!" I hollered, feeling like the quiet was telling me I had done something wrong. I loosened my fingers and was about to let go, when Todoroki grabbed it. "It's okay. Hands get lonely too." Todoroki smiled. "Ah, Hahahahaha! What?" I laughed, not expecting him to answer like that.

Todoroki smiled and repeated himself, "Hands get lonely too." I chuckled again, shaking my head at his silliness. "Okay then." I said, continuing to walk, feeling a bit happier. I felt a drip of water hit just under my eye, making me blink. I looked up and the sky was covered in dark clouds. I put my right hand out, feeling for more rain, remembering that Todoroki warned me about it earlier. "It's starting to sprinkle." I said, still holding my hand out.

"Yeah. We've been getting a lot of rain recently." Todoroki said, looking up just like I was and we stopped walking. "Uh huh." I replied, looking forward again, gently pulling on Todoroki's hand, starting to walk again. 'The last time it was raining, I tried jumping off the roof of the dorm building.' I thought. A feeling of hopelessness came over me as I thought about that evening less than a week ago.

"You know, on Wednesday, you found out about my self harm and I almost killed Bakugo and injured our friends. Thursday was a very emotional day, especially with the trying to jump off the dorm building. Friday, I couldn't stop crying and you read the note. And yesterday was just chaos, the mall and then everything after that. Then there's this morning and I don't even want to think about. That's less than six days." I said, feeling like my life was completely out of control.

"So, about Thursday. Aizawa stopped you, right?" Todoroki asked, rubbing his thumb against my knuckles. "Yeah. I had stepped off and caught me with his capture gear." I replied, watching my feet as we walked. "M'kay." Todoroki replied. It was quiet for the rest of the walk, the gentle sprinkling getting a bit harder. I was thankful for the leather jacket as the water didn't get soaked up by it. "Well, we're almost there." Todoroki said, making me look up.
