Chapter 66
It was three am when I checked on Gavin and Adrian. They were sound asleep I their cribs. I brought them into my room so I wouldn't be sleeping alone. Joe was somewhere around the house but he wouldn't come to bed. I laid Adrian and Gavin in the crib inside my room and I sat on the chair beside it. I looked at them and smiled but it didn't last long until I broke down crying. Everything is a disaster. Joe is furious with me. Our marriage is on thin ice. Sebastian and this deal he made really is way to far. Lastly Adrian being Sebastian child and Gavin is Joe's. I don't know what I will do to make everyone happy and to get Sebastian to stop his antics.

The morning seemed so quiet. The streets didn't have a lot of cars. The house was even quite. I didn't hear the footsteps of Joe or his voice talking on the phone about some schedules. The twins were still asleep and I untangled myself from the comforters. Beside me it was cold telling me that there was no sign that Joe had come to sleep with me last night. I know he's really angry at me. I know it might take a while for him to apologize. I freshened myself up in the bathroom and that when I hear Adrian and Gavin making their rattles shake. They were playing around in their crib. I picked Adrian up and Gavin in my other arm. Downstairs we go and I see that Joe had been drinking at counter. His phone is there and as well as his car keys. He's in the house somewhere. I put Adrian and Gavin in their high chairs. I prepared breakfast and waited for Joe to come downstairs. I fed Adrian and Gavin while waiting. Then I just went to wake him up. I checked his mini studio he wasn't in there. I checked our lounge room he wasn't in there. I checked everywhere until I got to the guest room upstairs near my workroom. The door was slightly ajar and I hear his snores. He's here. I sighed and opened the door. He was asleep on his stomach and I walked gently towards him. He was shirtless and I stroked his back. "Joe." I said. "It's breakfast time." He shifts around so he could see me.

"Anne." He mumbles and I touch his face. Joe rubbed his eyes and opened them.

"Wake up now." I caressed his chest with my hands.

"Anne..."He says my name again and I nod.

"Yes what is it?" I asked.

"Oh Anne I love you."he says. "I feel like shit right now. I hurt you so much last night. I don't ever want to do it again. I just couldn't control everything."

"No it's me who should be apologizing. I was the one caught with Sebastian. I shouldn't have done what I was going to do. I just wanted him to leave us alone." I said and Joe slides his hand in my hair.

"I hate being mad at each other. I can't let out marriage be ruined. I love
you so much Anne. I want you to stay with me. I don't want to lose you anymore. Your mine I told you that." He puts his forehead against mine.

"Your not mad at me anymore?" I asked my voice sounded so tiny.

"Of course not Gumdrop." He takes my chin. I leaned in to kiss him.

"I love you and I'm sorry." I said and he takes my face so he can get a more passionate kiss.

"Let's go so I can see Adrian and Gavin. I also want some breakfast made by my beautiful wife." He has my hand trapped in his grasp. I walked behind him down the stairs. We went to the twins who were in their playpen in the living room. He couldn't just easily forgive for what I've done. I know Joe deep down inside is plotting something worse for Sebastian. Even if I don't see it I can tell by Joe's body language he's still mad at me. The way he gripped my hip as I lifted Adrian and Gavin up. The way he moves he looked tensed up. He was so close to me all the time. I can feel him breathe on my skin and the way his hands touched me making his point that I belong to him. He smiles down as Adrian reached up his arms. "You want daddy to carry you?" He asked and Adrian was giggling and smiling.

"Here's your breakfast." I placed it on the table. Gavin was playing with his food on the high chair. I removed his plate and I placed his toy. Adrian has his arms wrapped around his dad's neck. Joe forked the eggs in his mouth. He looks at me and I smiled. Adrian was so interested in Joe's scruff. I sat next to Gavin and Joe watched every move I made when I sat across from him. Gavin was throwing his toy around and I picked it up every time.

"Why don't we bring the boys to Central Park today?" Joe asked. "Give them some fresh air."

"That's a good idea. We can also start doing some Christmas shopping." I said and Joe smiles.

"Yes we'll do it then." He brings Adrian with him and I carried Gavin. Joe was going through the closet to change Adrian in his winter clothes for outside. It was a cute sight with him trying to find the most comfortable shirts for Adrian. "Why don't you get ready. I'll worry about these two." He takes Gavin from me and kisses his forehead. I went to our room and changed. I bundled up in a cozy sweater, jeans, and my chunky heeled Chelsea boots. I put on a beanie and my jacket before packing the baby bag. Joe had bundled the two boys up when I got downstairs.

"You should get dressed." I said to him and he hands me Gavin and Adrian's gloves and hats.

"I will." He says to me. I brought the two boys downstairs in the sitting room and I kissed Gavin's little hand.

"So are you two excited for our little trip." I smiled. Adrian wanted me to lift him up but Gavin kept yanking my jacket. I had to put them on the seat.
It wasn't long till Joe showed up and he was bundled up as well. He took the strollers out of the closet downstairs by the door and he takes the baby bag.

"Bring the two kids and I'll just put everything in the car." Joe says and I do as he says. I buckled Adrian and Gavin in their baby seats. I got in the car myself. I turned around to make sure they were comfortable. Joe opened the trunk of the car. I watched in the rear view mirror as he placed things carefully. He looked up and saw me looking. A tight smile comes on his lips. I smiled back and he closes the trunk. He gets into the car and buckles up."Are we good?"

"Yup." I said and made a quick glance at the twins to make sure they were fully seated. Joe revs up the engine before driving off. He reached over to take my hand and I clasps it into mine.
