(GILBERT)
"I mean, I sort of like them." I smiled at Blu while serving our dinner. For tonight, it'll be just Blu and I dining together on linguine scampi and bacon, tomato and romaine salad. Zane and Master Robin are dining outside with my husband's problematic brother.
"I cannot imagine what you would like about them?" Blu mumbled while stabbing leaves with his salad fork. "He is just too much. Too much!"
I know why he is grumpy at Master Robin. Master Robin purchased two gigantic teddy bears, one brown and one white. The brown one has red bowtie while the white one has navy blue bowtie. They are...truly huge. Getting both stuffed teddy bears inside the spacious penthouse was a challenge indeed. Thats how big those bears are.
"Its an honest mistake, Blu. Master Robin saw the bears online and decided they were cute enough. He bought them without reading the description attached on the product. He bought them without caring for the price because well..." I sighed. "Well, he is an Akage..."
"And therefore has a whack concept when it comes to money." Blu grumbled this time.
Well, thats an apt description for the Akages. They are indeed so rich they do have a whack concept of money.
"Right. And also because it was probably the first time Master Robin has personally purchased anything online. I do all the shoppings for him." I reminded Blu of that fact. Since he was young, everything was provided for Master Robin. I purchased all the essential items he needs to be able to live properly everyday. From his food, clothes, toiletries down to his gears and games.
Master Robin has no concept of shopping or buying things. His idea of shopping will probably be seeing things he like and instantly buying them without bothering to check the price tag. And thats shopping on a shop in person. Master Robin bought those bears online. Online shopping defeated Zane's nephew. Master Robin had no idea whatsoever about what he is buying online.
Blu intently stared at me for a moment. "Are you defending him like a lawyer will defend his juvenile client?"
I sighed. "Yes," I didn't bother to deny what I was doing. "I'll admit it Blu, Master Robin made several mistakes when it comes to purchasing those teddy bears: like not reading the description or entrusting all the works on the delivery of the package to Devin but he meant well. He thought those bears will make you smile."
"It would. It could have...if they are not the size of a whole barge." Blu said disgruntledly. "I mean, I could use that thing as a boat and sail it across the Pacific and land on my destination just fine."
"Oh, do not exaggerate."
"Am I exaggerating?" Blu snorted. "I could open one of those teddy bear, take out all the stuffings, fit myself and Robin in there and it will still have space for you to get in there with us."
I laughed at the image those words has painted in my head. "If I join you two it'll be a tight fit and we will have several problems. One, Master Robin will think I am cock blocking him and two, Zane will demand to join us there as well."
Blu groaned like I exasperate the hell out of him. I smiled at him. "Just admit, it was a sweet gesture. Sure, there was a LARGE hitch on Master Robin's gift but its the thought counts."
"I know," Blu sighed. "But tell me, does he really need to buy TWO of them? Why?!"
"So the bears could be a couple. Like you and him," I said while holding off my laughter. Blu looked crestfallen, "Robin is cheesy like that? Oh no..." he shuddered at the idea.
I laughed. I couldn't help it. Blu is so cute. What Master Robin did is cute and funny. This whole thing is just too cute. Like those bears.
"It'll be too creepy to put those two bears together. I feel like they will come to life while we are asleep and will eat us." Blu have such colorful imagination.
