(BLU)
I only had a moment to feel relieved that Mr.Akage and Mr.Gilbert are back at the penthouse before that awkward and silent dinner last night occured.
Robin was quiet during the whole affair. He ate quite a decent amount of the food that Mr.Gilbert prepared for us but he never spoke one word during that dinner.
Mr.Akage asked the normal, polite questions as my guardian but then he too sunk into a contemplating silence at the head of the table.
Mr.Gilbert entertained me with little stories from their trip, they went to Tagaytay, but that also didn't last.
The whole dinner didn't last long. Robin and Mr.Akage didn't stay for desert. I insisted on helping Mr.Gilbert to clean up but he refused and instead shooed me away with a small plate of cake as my desert.
I ate that cake in my room.
This morning, it was hectic. Mr.Akage is hurrying to leave as he got an early meeting with some managers of their banks. Robin just took a piece of toast and then he went flying out of the penthouse to drive early to school.
Mr.Gilbert asked me if something happened during Robin's party but all I can give him was a lame..."It's a long story. I think Mr.Akage has all the details. He can explain it better..."
I thanked Mr.Gilbert for breakfast then I left for school as well. This time, a car and a driver was prepared to take me to school.
"Until you and Master Robin decide to drive together to and from school, a car and a driver will take you there." Mr.Gilbert explained. "Master Zane won't tolerate you commuting to school anymore."
I had no choice then. This is Mr.Akage's decision. So I get at the backseat of the car and let the driver took me to school.
AnneMarie greeted me first.
"No one is talking about the party, unless to say it was great." She said while we are walking together to get to our classroom. "And it was a great party, until someone ruined it..."
I winced. "Yeah. I ruined it..."
"Not you silly," AnneMarie hit my arm lightly. "Robin's teammates. The ones who did something violent. They ruined it."
"Yeah..." I sighed.
"Are you okay?" AnneMarie peered closer to look at my face. "You called me Saturday night and said you are okay. Did you lie to me? Your face..."
"No. I am fine. See, the bruising was not that bad," I showed her the part where Tim hit me. "I am fine..."
"Yes, you are. And we owe it to Robin. He was so gallant last Saturday. Running to save you. He was a hero," AnneMarie's tone became dreamy. "Oh Blu, I think my crush on him is intensifying."
Oh no...
"Ahm AnneMarie..."
"Blu!" AnneMarie suddenly stopped walking to get in front of me. Then she looked left and right before she grabbed my left wrist and drag me somewhere more secluded.
"Wait...what is happening?" I asked in total confusion as I let AnneMarie to place me where she wants to place me.
AnneMarie gave me a serious look. "Okay, here is the deal. I know I promised myself to never do this. To never use you and your connection to Robin but I think I have no other choice. You are my last hope, Blu. My secret weapon. I hate to do this but I have to...so here we go...
