(GILBERT)

Zane and I didn't get to sit Master Robin down last night. We were all exhausted after a day of arranging Chairman Akage's body to be sent back to their ancestral home one last time and Zane was constantly on the phone talking to several relatives and acquaintances sending their condolences to the family.

And then the wake happened and it was, once again, a swirl of activities and responsibilities for my husband to talk to guests and lead the ceremony. When it was over, Zane told me we will stay at a rented pension house while their ancestral home is being cleaned to make sure it will be safe for us to go back there.

"This is also a chance for us to talk to Robin." He said.

I nodded. "Lets do this and not delay it anymore."

Once we rounded the boys and got them on the limo with us, we traveled from the temple to the pension house thats about a half an hour drive from the temple. While we were on the road, Zane's phone kept ringing but my husband won't take the call.

"Who is it?" I asked while the boys are looking in.

"My brother," Zane said wryly as he turned his phone off. His eyes found Master Robin. "Once we got to the house I rented, we will all sit down and talk. There are some things you two need to understand. There were changes that happened before your Ojiisan died and I want you both to listen carefully because this affects our family."

"That sounds serious," Master Robin, sitting on the opposite seat from ours with Blu, said before smiling. "Is this about Ojiisan's last will? I don't care about any assets he left for me. You can manage those for me, right Uncle?"

Zane sighed. "We will talk once we got into the house. All I will ask from the both of you is to listen well."

My husband took my hand on a hold and I squeezed his hand. I saw the boys looking at each other, their eyes filled with questions and confusion. They will know soon enough.

My phone rang and when I looked at the screen to see who is calling, I read Master Rumi's name on it. "Its Master Rumi," I told Zane.

I saw in Zane's face a debate about what to do with that phone call. In the end, he nodded to me to take it. I pressed the answer button and listen to what Master Rumi has to say and converse with him in Nihonggo.

"He said Master Daimo contacted him to know the contents of the will," I said to Zane.

"Tell him to tell that idiot brother of mine to stop being excited as the will will be read soon," Zane replied in a clipped tone.

That's what I did. Master Rumi assured me that he already informed Master Daimo that the reading of the Chairman Akage's last will will be held right after his funeral.

"But Master Gilbert, Master Daimo is asking me if Master Jiro has an idea about content of the will. Should I lie or...tell him the truth?"

I told Zane about that. Zane held out his hand for my phone. I handed it to him gratefully. Zane continued the conversation with Master Rumi.

"Tell him the truth. Tell him I know the content of our father's will. If you lie to Daimo, he will just grow more suspicious. He knows me. He knows I will have some form of control now that our father is dead. But make it clear to him that it will be read tomorrow and not sooner than that." Zane said and the phone call was ended handed my cellphone back to me.

Master Robin snorted once I put my phone back to my pocket. "Why is he so eager to hear that you got the lion share on Ojiisan's fortune? Surely Ojiisan didn't leave Daimo more money than you, right Uncle?"
