(ZANE AKAGE)

Robin is glowing in happiness. My nephew competed for swimming golds and yet I have this feeling that no matter the results will be, Robin is happy. I'm glad for him that he feels that way.

Gilbert and I stayed to witness Robin winning two individual gold medals for his 100 meters freestyle and 200 meters breaststroke performance. He won silver in the 200 meters backstroke event. And then gold again in 400 meters relay with his teammates. Robin swam last in that event, the 100 meters freestyle. He even broke his own record by swimming it under 50 seconds but his whole team didn't break the nationals so it won't be written in the record book.

Still, three golds and one silver...not a bad day's work for my nephew.

So as a reward, I approached his school's sports organizers and coaches to treat them for helping Robin and his team win most medals in today swim meet.

"Dinner is on me. And I will sponsor a celebratory party for the whole swimming team. I will even talk to the headmaster to get their permission for that party." I said.

"Really?!" Robin's teammates hooted in glee as I nodded. Teenagers today will take any reason to party. But this is a valid one, after weeks and weeks of hardwork, St.Anne Academy's swimming team deserves a good party for their wonderful efforts.

Swimmers' families gathered and watch as the whole team formed a tight circle to put their hands in the middle and shout their battle cry. "TO THE NATIONALS WE GO! VIVA ST.ANNE!"

"YEHEY!"

Classmates, teachers and parents alike smile as the swimming team huddled together in one big hug and started chanting as they jump up and down in celebration, right there in the stadium's parking lot.

Gilbert, Blu and I waited patiently as Robin said farewell to his coaches and teammates before the four of us filed into my heavily tinted SUV. Gilbert on the passenger's seat while Robin and Blu sat together on the back.

As I maneuvered the car out of the stadium's parking lot, I noticed Robin kissing Blu's cheek from the rearview mirror.

"Three golds, baby!" Robin laughed in glee. Blu rolled his eyes. "Yeah...yeah...you are great. Happy now?" My ward chuckled with my nephew.

Robin meet my eyes on the mirror and he smiled at me. "If we will dine in luxury and style, I will need to change. I'm sure that restaurant won't let me in if I am in my tracksuit." He said.

I snorted at that. "They will let you eat there even if you are wearing a garbage bag. With the money I am paying them, they better serve you steak while you are in a garbage bag,"

"Wonderful. I want ribeye steak and lots of baked potatoes. What about you, Blu?" Robin asked his companion in the backseat.

"Pasta," Blu replied in a dreamy tone. "After watching y'all swim like mad mermen amd mermaids in that pool, I need carbs. Plus all that cheering,"

"I want fish," Gilbert said in the passenger seat. "Can we have wine?" My lover asked as an afterthought.

"Yes please! Let me drink," Robin whined at me.

"We will order champagne to celebrate you breaking that national record," I said.

"Yay!" Robin and Blu high five on the back. Gilbert smiled at me. Blu adopted a puzzled look. "Wait, why am I celebrating? I don't even know if I like champagne. I never had it before."

"It's fine." Robin said. "I think champagne is a bit overrated but there are good brands out there. I still prefer red wine and beer,"

"I'm only sixteen. I'm still not allowed to drink," Blu said.
