(ZANE AKAGE)
It feels to me like the whole gazebo and garden brighten as Gilbert smile and laugh while we are having dinner. It's quite obvious that my lover is enjoying this surprise that the boys handed to us. I am now thinking of increasing Robin and Blu's allowances for the next school year.
So there is an advantage to raising kids. I think Gilbert and I are doing great in raising Robin and Blu.
As the food started coming, starting with a delightful caesar salad with a twist...the cherry tomatoes and pine nuts were roasted and they went easy on the saltiness of the cheese...Gilbert and I talked about our past vacations with Robin and his dream destinations to take his family with.
After the riesling, we were served more wine like red pinot and chardonnay for the salad and steak. "Master Blu thinks you had enough seafood," the maitre 'd said while serving the steak to us.
Smart Blu.
Gilbert and I enjoyed the perfectly medium cooked steak smothered in herb butter and baked potatoes. The dinner breads are also fresh, as well as the aromatic olive oil that accompanied it.
We were halfway through the steak when Gilber sighed. Against the lights and the romantic setting of the gazebo, Gilbert's beauty stood out. He is wearing a white shirt with cherry blossomed petals scattered on it as design and moss green pants. They look loose on Gilbert but it just made him more enticing on my eyes. Especially as I watch him have a fine time in this dinner.
"Zane," I found myself waking up from thinking when Gilbert called my name.
"Yes." I focused my mind on him. Not that I was not thinking about him when I zones out. Still, I made myself concentrate on the Gilbert I am having dinner right now.
The Gilbert who gave me a suspicious look. "You were not listening to me, am I right? Have I been extra talkative tonight?" He wondered loudly.
I smiled. "Maybe. But yes, I will admit. I zoned out a bit." I decided to be honest about that fact.
"Aha! I knew it!" Gilbert pointed a finger at me. He slightly pouted, "What were you thinking about?"
I first glance at the maitre 'd and another staff who has been diligently serving us for most of the night. So professional. Sometimes even stoic. But I wonder if they will remain reactionless if I confess to Gilbert what I was thinking about when my mind wandered awhile ago.
I decided to risk it.
"You," I told my lover as I stared into Gilbert's eyes. I put one elbow on the table and place my chin on the palm of my hand as I regard my lover indulgently. "I was thinking about how beautiful you are and how you light up this whole gazebo. Darn, this whole garden. And how this all feels right..."
Gilbert stared at me in silence for a moment as he contemplated what I just said. He blinked several times in the process. Opened and closed his mouth several times in an attempt to answer me yet in the end, he failed.
Then Gilbert sighed. "Something is wrong with you." He finally said as he get his goblet to take a sip of water.
I chuckled. "I wouldn't say it's wrong to be madly in love with you." I equipped while wriggling my eyebrows at him.
Gilbert's eyes widened behind the glass of water and he coughed as he choked. I laughed at him while I saw our servers shifting on their stands as they pretend to remain professionals.
I winked at them. Gilbert saw that while dabbing napkin on his mouth and chin and turned his head to look at the resort staffs. "Oh my god, we are not alone!" He groaned in shame and that made me laugh some more.
