(ZANE AKAGE)

The last guest was finally, politely, sent off after the cremation of my father's body. The only thing left to do was hear his last will and tie the loose ends here in Tokyo before Gilbert, the boys and I could go back to Manila. My plan is to control the whole Akage Empire from there for two years or until Blu and Robin finished highschool and then I will relocate the whole family back here in Japan. The boys will study in a university and forge their own path here.

But first, we have to survive this reading of the father's last will. My aunts and cousins are already seated on the opposite side the long table from me. When Gilbert ushered the boys in, I gestured for Robin and Blu to sit themselves together and between Gilbert and I.

Daimo was the last to come in, after Misaki.

"What is she doing here?" Robin frowned immediately upon seeing his mother. I already can tell that something soured my nephew's mood even before he entered this room. I wonder who irritated Robin this time. But then again, with both his parents here I couldn't blame the boy if he is perpetually irritated.

I leaned close to whisper to my nephew. "It doesn't matter that she is here. Calm down," I said as I pat his hand. Misaki sat at the last chair on our side while Daimo sat directly opposite from me.

My eyes met my brother's and Daimo smiled at me. My hands on my lap fisted. I never liked it when my brother smile at me. The only time Daimo smiled at me was when he knew he will ruin my life. I can still remember the way he smiled after he hurt Gilbert. But then, that incident was more my fault than Daimo. That's on me and I haven't forgiven myself for that time I left Gilbert vulnerable with my brother.

Rumi came in with a folder in hand and accompanied by two of my father's most trusted solicitors. Rumi sat at the head of the table.

"Everyone around this table was notified to attend because the late Chairman has something to say to you beyond his grave. Written in his last will." Rumi said before opening the folder he placed on top of the table in front of him. "Everyone here will also be given a copy of Chairman Akage Akihiko's last will. If you wish to contest the contents of the will, you are free to do so but I would suggest against doing it because all of us, Chairman Akage's trusted servants and lawyers, will do all we can to protect his last words. Chairman Akage signed this will with coherence and full capacity of his mind. Everything in this will is binding and will be followed according to Chairman Akage's wishes."

Rumi looked at me and Daimo before taking a visible deep breath. "And with all of that out of the way, we will now begin the readings of Chairman Akage Akihiko's last will and testament."

Rumi then proceeded to read the content of the will. My father generously left a substantial amount to all the servants in Akage ancestral home. A token for their service to him for the past twenty years. He also left some token to my aunts and cousins. Giving kind words to his sisters.

"I know we drifted apart after we all got married and have children of our own and just reconnected again two years ago when this old brother of yours started feeling maudlin and alone. I'm sorry for my tardiness to look after the two of you. You have grown to be exceptionally wonderful women, but I will admit, to me you two will always be my little Mika and Juno. I love you both. Mika, please look after your gout and eyes well. Juno, I am glad you stopped smoking but still, be diligent with your check up and health. I will look for Okasan and Otosan here in the afterlife and tell them that their girls are enjoying life until you two will reunite with us. I love you both."

My aunt Mika and Juno sniffed and smiled at me. I nodded to them.

Once the part about my aunts and cousins inheritance were read, Rumi paused and asked the other lawyers to escort his Madam Mika and Madam Juno and their families out of the room. I quickly stood up to come to my aunts. I hugged them both and escort them to the door.
