Even though we talked about it, I still noticed that Robin was deeply bothered by the news that his mother will marry his grandfather. The week was filled with moments of Robin suddenly turning quiet or times when he was surprised that someone asked him a question or called his name.

He was clearly distracted.

So I thought, maybe what I have done was not enough to make him feel better so I have to think of another way to distract him from being distracted about that news from his home in Japan.

I thought we should have a date. It's been a while and I think we both deserve it.

The problem is that we are still paying our punishment. The one where we have to keep distance from each other during the day. The date I am planning will have to start in the afternoon until dinner.

So I went to my guardian to ask for some concession. "I would like to take Robin to a date to distract him and I just want to ask..."

"How much money will you need?" Mr.Akage asked, already reaching for his wallet.

"What?" I was confuse for a second. "What...no!" I shook my head at him. "I don't need money. I just want a permission to be close to Robin while it's still daytime. You know...our punishment..."

"Ah that. Have you two already learned your lesson?" Mr.Akage asked.

What lesson does that punishment want to teach me again? I blinked several times. "That we shouldn't try to fix things on our own?" I am really not sure.

"That you should never let anyone blackmail you again," Mr.Akage clarified. "Akages don't deal with blackmailers. We make them sorry for thinking of coming after us."

Oh great...more family motto.

"Right. That. Okay," I just agreed because I have a date to plan and really, what am I supposed to say to that?

"Fine, I will lift your punishment for one afternoon. Where do you plan to go?"

I told Mr.Akage my plans. I trust that he will keep it from Robin and besides, there is nothing nefarious about it. My plan is to take Robin to an ecopark and we could have a picnic for dinner. Maybe we can also rent a paddle boat to row on the park's large fish pond and take pictures of trees and flora there.

As a date plan, it sounds simple but what matters to me is that I change Robin's scenery to distract him enough from his musing.

I also decided to cook our dinner meal by myself. I'm not yet a good cook like Mr.Gilbert but I have been watching and assisting him diligently so I think my confidence in cooking has increased. And besides, calling it cooking could be a misrepresentation. My picnic menu consists of sandwiches, omelette, fruits and cold meats. So yeah, maybe I should use the term prepare instead of cook.

Saturday rolled by. I already served one week of my suspension. Only one more week and I'll be back to school. I also haven't heard much from AnneMarie's parents. The last message I received from them were on Tuesday when they told me that AnneMarie is finally starting her therapy. I sent AnneMarie a small message, wishing her luck. Since then, nothing.

I was starting to worry but Mr.Gilbert told me something that calmed my heart.

"With this kind of thing, no news is good news. When Master Robin started his therapy, his doctors told us that keeping things private and small could be good to a patient because it'll prevent them from feeling overwhelmed. Letting AnneMarie's parents to take care of and shield her from outside forces, could be good for her. Her vision will be narrowed down to what's important, and that's her mental health. Blu, she is not doing this to make you feel better. This is for her, first and foremost, not for you. Let her be for now..."
