(ZANE AKAGE)

Our first day in this private vacation island was filled with normal things people do while they are near a beach. We swam in the water, ride on jetskis and eat fresh island food.

It's quite nice. Despite my arguing with Robin when he called me "cheap old man"...I agree, this trip is cheap. I will only spend 1.2 million pesos on this trip compared to a lot more if we will go to a European tour and shop there. This way, for a reasonable price, Gilbert and I got to take the boys away from Manila. Although Gilbert failed on one thing. Before leaving the penthouse, he told us...

"Maybe we should impose a no gadget rule. What do you guys think?"

Watching the colors drain on Blu and Robin's faces was comical. The boys frantically shook their heads, clutched their cellphones close to their bodies and jumped away from Gilbert like my lover was dipped in radioactive nuclear waste.

"Are you insane, Gilbert? Has sharing my Uncle's bed finally drove you mad?!" Robin was livid.

While Blu got teary eyed. "Why are you being unusually cruel to us? Are you really taking us to a nice vacation spot or are you going to leave us in a deep forest to dump us?"

Teenagers' imaginations are truly scary. Both Blu and Robin managed to guilt Gilbert enough for my lover to stop demanding the boys' gadgets. But I was not as lucky as those two.

"Why are you taking my phones?" I asked Gilbert while he was unpacking our things on our room. This beach mansion is not that different from the penthouse. It's huge, airy and it's practically split into two parts, the south and north side. Gilbert and I will occupy the master's suite on the south side. Robin and Blu's suite is on the north side. The boys will share that two bed space bedroom. Both boys had no complaints on the arrangement so I took that as a good sign that Robin won't be too stressed on the change of his surroundings.

I think having Blu close is a great incentive for Robin to endure the change of scenery.

Anyways, back to Gilbert's demand for me to hand over my phones and laptop to him.

"You should concentrate on your nephew and ward. They seldom get to spend whole days with you. As you are busy working and rarely took a day off. You must take advantage of this opportunity to get closer to the boys." Gilbert explained.

I felt insulted with his words. "I am close to the boys," I scowled at Gilbert.

My lover was not impressed. "Master Robin feels guaranteed of your love, sure...but that also means that he sometimes take you for granted. Blu..." Gilbert sighed. "You intimidate him more than anything. It's been months now since Blu live with us yet he is still shy around you. Still too polite."

That...okay, Gilbert has a point there. But still...

"What do you want me to do?" Is it my fault that I intimidate Blu? Is it my fault that Robin was assured of my love for him? Is it my fault that I am busy at the banks? "I do my best for the three of you," I couldn't help being defensive.

Gilbert smiled kindly at me before coming closer to touch my cheek. "I know you do your very best for us. But like I said, this is a chance for you to become, I don't know...more lovable to Blu and Master Robin."

That made me cringe. "More what? Lovable?"

Gilbert laughed at my face, I probably looked panicked at the idea of me being more...lovable. My lover patted my sidearm. "You need to do this. So leave your phones and laptop to me, I will hide them while you concentrate on the boys..."
