"What? Get married...with me? What?!" I was utterly surprised at what Zane said. The solution he thought about with the problems that will be presented to us once his father remarries. Once Chairman Akage marry Misaki, Master Robin's mother.

"It makes sense. Otosan will protect Misaki through marriage, I have to protect you and the boys as well. Oh, and to add to that...we have to change our plans. We have to adopt Blu." Zane said.

"WHAT?!" My mind is spinning at what he is saying. First marriage...and now we have to adopt Blu as well. "We can't!" I said. "Master Robin and Blu are boyfriends. If they will eventually be lovers, they couldn't be cousins..."

"It couldn't be helped. We have to protect Blu," Zane said.

"Is adopting him the only way we can protect him?" I asked. "What is going on, Zane?"

"Otosan could be getting ready to get rid of Daimo. If he does, he will look for someone to put in front of me as my rival. Misaki could produce more children but that will take time and there's no guarantee that it could happen. Which mean...Robin is the only other Akage my father will use to block me from getting everything."

"But Master Robin is your heir. You always say that."

"He is my heir, yes. I always assume Robin will take my legacy. Our family's legacy...but Otosan is not a hundred percent sure about Robin. He worries about Robin's condition. Like I said, my father is not stupid, he won't put all his chips in one slot. He will continue to look for someone who will fit the ideal heir on his head."

"And yet you say your father will take Master Robin and fit him against you..." I said.

"My father might not be a hundred percent sure about Robin inheriting our legacy but he will not be averse to using his grandson to keep me in line. He knows Robin is the most important person to me." Zane said.

I groaned. "This battle of pride between you and Chairman Akage has to end. You will drag everyone in that battlefield with you two and eventually someone will get seriously hurt..."

"It will end soon. Once we get rid of Daimo and I got enough shares to take the whole operation of Akage Banks, it will end. I need to talk to Misaki as well..."

"And the boys?" I asked because I think more than talking to Madam Misaki, Zane should be thinking about what he will tell the boys if he will forge with his crazy ideas of marriage and adoption. "What will you tell Master Robin and Blu? Will you tell them that you are thinking of making them relatives?"

"They will understand..."

I laughed at that. Zane is being ridiculously funny so yeah...I laughed, why not? "They will understand? Yes, I think I would love to watch that conversation. You won't require me to buy a ticket to see that entertaining event, right?"

Zane frowned at me. "A little support will be nice." He said, a tad frustrated.

"Support for your insane ideas? No," I shook my head. "You will throw the boys' relationship into chaos if you adopt Blu. I won't support that. And about your other idea...the one about marrying me. Forget about it. What? No." I shook my head.

Zane's eyes widened. "Did you just...reject my proposal?" He looked stunned by having said the word no coming from me.

I laughed again, without amusement this time. "Proposal? Don't kid yourself. That's not a proposal. What you did was so shameful to be even be considered as a proposal. You informed me that I have to marry you. If you use the term "pet" after that information of marriage you casually threw at my face, I might even consider it as an order. Proposal?" I threw him an irritated look. "I don't know about you, but I think I deserve more than what you just informed me to do..."
