(ZANE AKAGE)

I want to take painkillers to ease the aching on my head as I wait for the physician to be done cleaning and bandaging Daimo's grazed arm. The part of my brother that Gilbert shot.

Twice.

Not that I am blaming my lover for shooting my brother. Twice. Shooting Daimo multiple times should be allowed by law by now to slow my brother down. Silver lining...at least Gilbert didn't kill my stupid brother.

Or was that a pity?

Either way, this won't do. Daimo being here and getting close to the boys...that won't do at all.

"It is done, COO Akage." The physician finally finished patching up Daimo.

"Good. Leave us," I said dismissively. The doctor and nurses who assisted him left the hospital room where I put Daimo after getting an ambulance to pick him up from the parking lot floor.

I stared at my wastrel brother. Daimo had grew up in the same house as me. We went to the same school. Afforded the same luxuries in life. But vices and ambitions separated us. I want the whole Akage Empire, my birthright. Daimo wanted the world to worship him and provide him with pleasure. We are both passionate in achieving our goals. Mostly not caring about the people we crushed along as we get it.

Akages are rotten to the core.

Or maybe its our mother's genes. I mean, Daimo is not an Akage. But then again, maybe it is the upbringing and environment where we grew up. The Akages were raised to want more and more. Greedy for more.

Either way, again...Daimo being here is a problem for me.

"What were you thinking? Coming here...?" I asked my brother who is closely inspecting his bandaged arm.

"Keito's birthday is coming..."

"Don't bullshit me, Daimo. You've never cared about Robin and his welfare. Don't start now. I'm gonna ask you one last time before I put you on board of a plane myself...why are you here?" I asked again in a clipped tone.

Daimo finally looked at me. I can see that he still got those brilliantly clear eyes our mother passed on him.

"You know. Niichan you know...about Misaki and Otosan..."

I groaned. "Leave them alone..."

"She is my wife! The mother of my son!"

"And you lost them both!" I shouted back at Daimo when his tone went high. "Misaki divorced you. You practically gave away your son to me. What are you doing now to deserve to claim them as yours?!"

Daimo deflated. "I'm sick, Niichan. I need my family."

Well, at least that is not a lie. Daimo is indeed sick. On his head, with the way he thinks and the values he follows as well as the principle he lived by. And by principle, I meant him doing everything he wants to do regardless of the consequences and how it will affect others.

"If you are really sick, stay here in the hospital until you are well enough to go back to Brazil." Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, is Daimo's homebase. His racing team are all housed there.
