Author's note: I used Tin/Can image because I have them in my mind when I made this story. But the names are not theirs. Weird, I know...but that's me. You will understand if you read it. 😁

(BLU)

St.Anne Academy

Manila, Philippines

Helping my bestfriend propose to her crush is such a chore.

But I can't say no to her.

"Hurry up, Blu!" AnneMarie, my bestfriend since third grade, joined to help me set up the sound system we borrowed (by coersion) from the radio club. The sound system, consists of a mic and three bulky as ass speakers, were arranged here in the rooftop of the Science Building for AnneMarie's much awaited moment of love confession.

"It will be the Most Romantic Confession of the Century!"

"You capitalized the beginning of those words in your head, right?"

"Blu!"

"What?"

"You are my bestfriend, please support me."

"I do support you. I just don't see what you like in this Robin..."

"He is handsome, nice to our costudents, polite to his elders, smart and over all dreamy..."

"He is like a bamboo pole,"

"Are you bitter because he is taller than you?"

"He is freskishly tall. I'm ony sixteen and already I am 5'6. I am taller than an average Filipino. Robin Akage just had to be a bastard and shoot up 4 more inches than me."

"That made him so perfect. He is tall, handsome and absolutely dreamy."

"You already said that one. That Robin is dreamy. Do you really have to say it twice?"

"Yes! Because it's the truth, Blu."

AnneMarie has totally lost it for that guy. Dreamy? Robin Akage? That Japanese snob that thinks he is better than everyone in St.Anne Academy? That condenscending bastard?

Whatever.

I hate February. February means it's Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day means it's time for St.Anne's annual Love Ball. A night of too much glittered hearts and dancing where girls can ask the boy they like to take them to the balls.

The Love Ball should not be confused with St.Anne Ball where the guys do the asking during the foundation day of our esteemed school.

But it's February. It's Love Ball month. Which means the girls had to do the asking. I have a girl bestfriend. AnneMarie.

Pretty, bubbly, kind AnneMarie who thinks Robin Akage hangs the moon and the stars in the night sky.

What a ball's up. Why, of all the stupid guys in St.Anne, why does my bestfriend pick Robin? Why not other guys? Why not someone nicer or more normal...really?

Why not me?

I sighed. I should stop thinking like that. AnneMarie and I are bestfriends. I treasure our friendship. We are partners in crime. Allies. It's not right to wish something more than that.
