(ZANE AKAGE)

We are back in the Philippines. I managed to convince Rumi to look after the main headquarters of our business in Tokyo for the time being while the board of directors are compiling names of promising talents I can use to comprise a group of managers who will be my eyes and ears on all our banks around the world while I nest in the Philippines with my husband, adoptive son, and nephew.

But why I ever think that life will be simpler now that I have the full rein of our family fortune and businesses...was beyond me.

I must've been stupid. And Blu made me realize just how stupid I could be while we were having Sunday brunch at the penthouse.

"Tomorrow is Monday. You two will be back at school. Are you both ready for that? What about your things?" I asked the boys behind the broadsheet I am reading.

Robin and Blu has acted all cool and quiet with each other during our last day in Japan. I got the family's private jet ready to fly us back to Manila yesterday morning. During that six hour flight, Robin and Blu stayed on seats as far away from each other as possible. Robin had his headset on while Blu slept, or pretended to have slept, the whole flight.

Then last night, they slept separately. Robin went back to the Master's wings. To his old room. With all of the room's lights on and the door halfway open. Blu stayed on the servant's quarter alone, with his door tight shut.

Gilbert has an opinion that the boys are going through an issue.

I think that should be expected. Robin just learned that his abductors were Blu's parents while Blu still suspect us of having a hand on his parents' deaths. The boys experiencing tension between them is not just expected, it should be normal.

So I decided to let it go. I think Robin and Blu are experiencing high emotions even though they are keeping mums of them. They will soon sort their feelings out and Gilbert and I decided we will be here once they are ready to sit down and talk about it.

But during that Sunday brunch, Blu made it clear he is not the "lets sit down and talk about this" guy.

"I will make sure their school uniforms and stuffs are ready for tomorrow," Gilbert assured me.

"Good," I smiled at my reliable husband. I knew I can count on Gilbert to keep at least one aspect of our life normal.

"I want to use the Akage name." Blu declared out of nowhere.

"Excuse me what?" I put down the broadsheet I am reading while Gilbert blinked at our adoptive son. Robin's spoon filled with cereal and milk hang in midair upon him hearing Blu's surprising declaration.

"I will use my Akage surname. I will go by Bluejay Akage starting tomorrow." Blu said, with calmness I'm not sure I understand.

His words made me cough. "I...ah..." I don't know what to say to that so I glanced at Robin who put the spoon down while frowning at Blu while Blu went out of his way not to return Robin's stare. I sighed. "Okay, Gilbert and I decided not to interfere but apparently you want us to so I will ask...did something else happened between the two of you? Aside from the obvious, I mean..."

Robin snorted, "You mean aside from the truth bombs you fired at us?" He asked sardonically.

"Sure that," I nodded. "Did something else happened?" I inquired, feeling a little impatient at both of them.

"No," Blu said.

"I kissed Ichiro and Blu saw us," Robin replied at the same time.

"Oh wow..." Gilbert cleared his throat while I felt doom descended upon us as Blu's eyes sharpened at Robin. "You knew I was watching, that's why you kissed him." Blu is not asking questions as he accused Robin.
