(GILBERT)
The doctors called that Chairman Akage died just five minutes after midnight. Zane and Master Robin started this day losing an important part of their lives.
Zane secured us a room in the hospital as he let his brother knew that their father has passed away. He doesn't want us near Master Daimo who is unstable and not completely sober yet. I stayed with the boys who were both quiet. Blu stuck close to Master Robin who has been sniffing and crying silently, mourning the death of his Ojiisan.
Master Rumi, who is the executor of Chairman Akage's will, came to inform us that arrangements for the wake and funeral services has been made and there is nothing more we should worry about. All we need to do is attend them.
"Your black suits will arrive later, Master Gilbert. And Master Zane bade you and the young master to get ready here." Master Rumi bowed to me before leaving us.
"Master Gilbert? Why does Rumi...?" How Master Rumi addressed me didn't escape Master Robin's notice.
"He is disoriented. He lost an important person to him as well. We just need to make concession on people," I said. Trying hard not to reveal the truth that I am now also a master in this household because I am married to Zane.
When the suits arrived, I helped the boys to get dressed, making sure that they look presentable because there would be important people who will try and take a look at them.
Especially on Master Robin. Many will assume that he will now be the next in line to inherit his grandfather's empire now that it will either be passed down to Zane or Master Daimo. The new chairman will be revealed on the reading of the will right after the funeral ceremony.
The reading of the will where everyone will learn that Chairman Akage left everything to Zane and his immediate family: husband and adoptive son...while nothing was given to Master Daimo and his offspring because they are not Chairman Akage's blood.
I need to talk to Zane again. We badly need to sit Master Robin down to explain to him what will happen at the reading of his grandfather's will.
Breakfast arrived and so does Zane. "Rumi is on top of everything. We already notified our extended family members of my father's death." He said after kissing my cheek.
"Who are you expecting to arrive?"
"My two aunts are all living abroad. So are their families. They will probably be here before the end of the day. What day is it again?"
"Tuesday," I replied sadly. Zane no longer has a firm grasp of time and date.
"Right, its Tuesday. My father died in a Tuesday. How boring..." he said.
"Zane," I shook my head at that show of callousness. I silently reminded him that the boys are listening close by.
Zane looked at the boys. "Eat your breakfast and we will all greet the visitors later," he said.
"There are visitors already?" Master Robin asked while we seat around the table inside that room.
"Yes. Believe it or not, your Ojiisan is an important man." Zane replied evenly.
"Will Mr.Asa be here?" Blu asked.
"Yes. I believe so. I will ask Rumi later if he has notified the Asas about my father's death." Zane gestured at the food. "Lets stop talking and eat. Eat well. You will need the energy. Believe me."
We started eating. I saw Blu watching Master Robin. Like he is making sure that Master Robin will eat enough. Blu surely made sure that there is enough water on Master Robin's cup. I couldn't help but feel relieved that Blu is here to look after Master Robin.
