(ROBIN)

"Great party, Man!"

"Your place is awesome!"

"You should host parties like this, evert month! And invite us everytime..."

"Thank you for this lovely party, Robin."

Only the last one managed to pierced in my heart. It came from Lalaine who also kissed my cheek while she was holding Cherry's hand. Cherry who was all smile at me. They both look amazing in matching red swimsuits. Lalaine is only wearing a skimpy short over hers.

They are such a power couple in St.Anne.

Speaking of power...this party just proved my power in the social circle of my school. Everyone is having a blast in our garden and around the pool. The music is blazing, the food tastes great, it's being served by professional looking caterers, and the drinks are unlimited and overflowing.

I threw one mean pool party.

But I am not happy.

I am the farthest person from being happy. This party...I think...is a mistake.

I look around the garden, crowded with teenagers, with plates of food and cups of drink in hand. Smiling and talking to each other. I saw a couple on my Uncle's favorite lounger, kissing. There are people on the pool, swimming, splashing and generally having a great time.

Everyone is having fun. I also have a cup of drink on my hand. I smile at my teammates and friends. I know my party is a success...but I don't feel any happiness, contentment or a sense of accomplishment.

Maybe because all I did was invite people but the whole party was organized and prepared by someone I paid to get it ready. Even our food, I ordered from a caterer.

I cannot feel anything about this party. I am not even enjoying it.

"Great party," I turned my head when someone slid to stand beside me.

It's AnneMarie. Looking chic and pretty in a black one piece swinsuit, the suit's style maybe a bit conservative but it still shows her curves and loveliness.

"This is really a cool party," AnneMarie said with a smile before her eyes travelled down to my body. I am only in a pair of swim shorts and even though I am used to having people admire my body that I worked hard to achieve through exercise and swimming...her gaze make me feel uncomfortable.

I don't like her. The fact that she got a crush on me only makes me like her less.

And Blu loves her. I don't know why Blu loves her. I hate to think why Blu loves her.

I don't like her.

"Thank you," I gave her my functuary smile. The one I gave to people to appear nice and polite even though all I want to do is walk as far away from them as possible. "Where is Blu?" I asked about the only interesting thing in AnneMarie's existence.

"Inside. He said he will see if we got enough food. I don't know why he is worrying," AnneMarie took a sip of the punch from the cup in her hand. "I think you prepared this party well. It's great. Everyone is having a great time. I am happy I am here..."

"That's good to know...that you are having a great time." I said before looking down at my cup. I am still halfway through my drink. But I will be damned if I have to stand one more minute here, playing polite games with Blu's bestfriend. I took a long, deep drink. Emptying my cup. "Oops, I am out of drink." I showed AnneMarie my cup.
