11:00 AM, Two Weeks Later
[Jo's house]
*Jo was doing Aaron's makeup for fun, as she finished the finishing touch, by adding some lipstick.*
Jo: Aaand... done.
*He smiled and turned to look in the mirror. Once he saw his silly reflection, he chuckled.*
Jo: Beautiful.
Aaron: *smiling* Wow it's... thank you.
*He turned to kiss her, but she backed away.*
Jo: Ah ah ah! You never kiss with lipstick on.
Aaron: *sarcastic* Oh, sorry.
*She giggled. Just then, her phone rang.*
Jo: Oh, hang on. It's Nathan.
*She answered.*
Jo: Hey.
Nathan: Hi.
Jo: What's up?
Nathan: Do you have Nancy's eyelash curler? She wants it for her trip.
Jo: Yeah, she left it here last night. I can bring it by, later.
Nathan: Okay, thanks.
Jo: Where is she?
Nathan: Her apartment.
Jo: Okay.
Nathan: She's having me run around getting last minute stuff in.
Jo: I don't know why she's stressed. Newport is like an hour and a half away, and she's going for a weekend. Worst case scenario, she needs to come home real quick and grab it. Or even just buy it there.
Nathan: I know, but you know Nancy.
Jo: Yeah.
Nathan: Okay, well I should go.
Jo: Okay, bye Nate.
Nathan: Bye.
*She tried to click the end call button, but she accidentally missed without realizing it.*
Aaron: So anyway, finish your story.
Jo: Oh! Right. So Nancy wanted to tell Nathan, but-
*Nathan was going to hang up, but that last sentence caught his attention.*
Jo: -but then she decided not to, because she was afraid he'd be mad. And I mean, it's not like a huge deal, but it's definitely something she should've just told him.
Aaron: Yeah. I mean, I would for sure want to know if you had been engaged before.
Jo: Yeah.
*Nathan was shocked on the other line.*
Jo: Especially to someone like Joey.
Aaron: Yeah.
Jo: I mean, you should see the fights they've gotten into. It's brutal.
Aaron: Wow. So Nathan really hates Joey, huh?
Jo: HATES him.
*Nathan couldn't tell if he was more shocked or angry. Jo glanced at her phone and saw that the call with Nathan was still going. Her eyes lit up as she quickly scrammed to end it.*
Jo: OH MY GOSH!
Aaron: Jo!
Jo: Do you think he heard everything?!
Aaron: The chance that he didn't is... small.
Jo: Ugh! No! I just ruined everything!
Aaron: Don't blame yourself, he had to find out sometime!
