S3E14: Begin Again

APRIL, Morning
[the hospital]
*Nathan, Steven, and Nina were at the hospital first, waiting in the lobby for Nancy to wake up. Jo and Hallie went out to breakfast.*

Nathan: And then she just ended it by saying she wanted to go to sleep.

Steven: Wow. What are you gonna do?

Nathan: I have no clue.

Steven: I mean... I guess there isn't really much you can do.

Nathan: What? No, I have to get her back!

Steven: You didn't really lose her, man! She's out of it. If you woke up one day and you were engaged to someone you didn't even know, I'm sure you'd end it to.

Nathan: But-

Steven: You have to understand from her side.

Nathan: No, you know what. No. She's fallen in love with me before. I've been a stranger to her before. Who's to say she won't fall in love with me all over again? Hm?

Steven: I never said that. But I doubt she'll want to marry you in a month.

Nathan: We'll push the wedding back.

Steven: I wouldn't be thinking about the wedding right now.

Nathan: You know what, you're right. I'll just have to win her back over. I will.

*Nina stepped out of Nancy's room.*

Nina: Wow.

Nathan: How'd it go?

Nina: She's out of it.

Steven: I know.

Nathan: Come on, guys. She is still just her eighteen year old self.

*Steven walked in.*

Steven: Hi.

Nancy: Steven!

Steven: How'd you sleep?

Nancy: I slept alright. My head was hurting.

Steven: I'm sorry. I brought you some-

Nancy: Can I ask you a question?

Steven: Sure.

Nancy: Okay.

*Steven sat down on the chair next to her.*

Nancy: Remember that whole thing where the guy wanted to kill me?

*Steven chuckled, knowing she was a bit off, due to her pain meds.*

Steven: Yes, of course.

Nancy: Why?

Steven: Why?

Nancy: Why did he want to kill me?

Steven: Well, we aren't quite sure of that, yet. But we-

Nancy: How did he find us? Where is he now? What did I do?

Steven: Those are all good questions. Hopefully we'll know the answer soon.

Nancy: Will I have to go to court?

Steven: I think so. But let's not think about that right now.

Nancy: Okay.

Steven: We have people out looking for him right now.

Nancy: That's good. Did you get a hold of Joey yet?

Steven: Not quite.

Nancy: Why? Did he change his number?
