Morning
[Jo and Tucker's house]
*It was a sunny morning. Jo was making coffee in the kitchen with a big smile spread across her face. Tucker walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. She giggled, turned around, and as he went in to kiss her, she put the coffee in between them, first. They both laughed, he grabbed the coffee, and leaned in. For some reason, he couldn't kiss her. It was weird... subconsciously Jo knew why. But she couldn't explain it.*
*Because then she opened her eyes for real this time, lying in bed, all alone. She rolled over and stretched her arm across the big empty bed. The memories of last night swirled through her mind as she remembered everything she said, and everything he said. It was like reliving it all over again.*
*She got up and walked straight to the kitchen. She started making coffee again, instead this time it was a darek, gray, lonely kitchen. She turned around to sip her mug and saw him asleep on the couch, holding a pillow. He looked so peaceful, sleeping there. His mouth just barely opened as he breathed in and out. She looked down and saw his initial on a chain around her neck. Just the thought of his name- or even the first letter of it- was near unbearable for her. She ripped it off and stormed back into her room, careful not to wake him up.*
That Same Time
[Nina's apartment]
*Nina played with Caroline in a booster seat on a chair, because she had outgrown her highchair. Nina grabbed Caroline's breakfast and handed it to her as she screamed.*
Nina: Sshhh, it's okay baby! It's okay! I know you're hungry. Here! Eat!
*Caroline immediately shut up as she took her food in. Nina sighed, relieved to make the screaming stop. Her phone buzzed. Nina picked it up, and it was from Jo. It read, "911. My place." Hallie and Nancy received the same text at their homes. Nina texted Steven and told him she was going to drop off Caroline because she had an emergency.*
Moments Later
[Jo and Tucker's house]
*Nancy, Nina, and Hallie walked in without knocking. Jo was leaning over the back of the couch, watching him sleep.*
Nancy: What's going on?!
Jo: Ssshhh!!! Don't wake him?
Nina: *whispering* 911!
Jo: My room.
*Jo walked in and they all followed. They saw Tucker sleeping on the couch as they walked past. Hallie was the last one in the room and closed the door behind her.*
Hallie: Wha-
Jo: We broke up.
*They stopped talking. What? Why? How? When? Questions filled their minds but they still couldn't speak.*
Nancy: Jo.
Nina: What?
Hallie: Oh my gosh.
Jo: Yup.
Nancy: W-why?
Jo: Well, we both decided that I wasn't giving him what he needs right now.
Nina: What?
Hallie: Jo, what are you talking about?
Jo: Too much stuff was circulating over social media, and it's my fault.
Nancy: It's not your fault.
*Nancy hugged Jo.*
Nina: So work through it, don't just break up.
Jo: Believe me, we did. For years.
Nina: So you're just giving up?
Jo: It's not giving up... it's taking a better route-
