NOVEMBER
Evening
[the streets of LA]
*Jo and Nathan were walking in the plaza. They were coming back from one of Nathan's many support groups. Jo has gone with him to every rehab meeting and every support group so far.*

Nathan: I know it hasn't been long, but I already feel it getting easier. It feels like a big change.

Jo: You've made a lot of progress in the last two weeks.

Nathan: It's because of you.

Jo: Stop-

Nathan: No seriously. I owe you, big time. How can I repay you?

*She thought for a second.*

Jo: You can buy me a drink.

Nathan: Great, let's go.

*They walked into the bar that they just walked past.*

That Same Time

[nina and stevens new house]

*Nina and Steven had been successful these past six months, despite their personal lives falling apart. They moved out of their apartment and into a bigger home. They had been unpacking things all day.*

Nina: Well, that's the last of the boxes.

Steven: Yeah. Weird.

Nina: I know. So much time went into this move just for it to be over.

Steven: Yes, but now we get to enjoy our new home.

*He went behind her and wrapped his arms around her. He rested his chin on her shoulder.*

Nina: Yeah. I'm really gonna miss that place.

Steven: Me too. So many memories. But, we'll make new ones here. Like, Caroline's birthday party tomorrow.

Nina: Yes. Two! Wow, she's getting big.

Steven: Time flies.

*They kissed.*

That Same Time

[the bar]

*Jo and Nathan were laughing, sitting at the bar. Nathan signaled the bartender.*

Nathan: One more for the lady.

Jo: Nathan, I'm sorry. Is this weird for you? Me drinking?

Nathan: Not at all.

*She gave him a look.*

Nathan: I mean it's just something I'm going to have to get used to. Everybody drinks.

Jo: Yeah.

Nathan: Oh hey!

*His eyes shot up with excitement.*

Nathan: You know how you're looking for a job?

Jo: Yeah?

Nathan: I might be able to help you with that.

Jo: What do you mean?

Nathan: Kristina works with this guy who knows a guy who hires people to work on movie sets.

Jo: *sarcastic* Wow, that's a clear shot!

Nathan: I know it's a stretch, and I don't know the guy or anything, but it shouldn't matter because trust me, he knows you. Kristina says he's looking for someone to edit this crazy new blockbuster that just wrapped.

Jo: Are you serious?

Nathan: Yeah! You want me to talk to Kristina about it?

Jo: Nate, I- that would be amazing! Like my dream job!
