Morning
[Nancy and Nathan's house]
*Nathan knocked on a bedroom door and walked into the room. Jo sat up in bed as he sat down on the bed.*

Nathan: Good morning.

Jo: Thank you for letting me stay last night.

Nathan: Anything for you.

*She smiled.*

Jo: *sarcastic* I can't believe you guys have a room for me in your house.

Nathan: You don't think we'd buy a house and not have a 'Jo' room, do you?

*She looked at him.*

Jo: Is that a friend's reference?

Nathan: Yes. Yes it is.

*They laughed.*

Nathan: And this is actually just the guest room.

Jo: *smiling* I know.

Nathan: Did you sleep well?

Jo: No. Couldn't.

Nathan: Well it's a good thing I'm kicking you out, you can be in your own bed.

Jo: What?

Nathan: Yeah.

Jo: You just said anything for me.

Nathan: Yeah, to an extent. I'm doing you a favor.

Jo: What do you mean?

Nathan: You can't hide here forever-

Jo: It's been a day-

Nathan: You need to face the real world, and your problems.

*He grabbed her by the arm and pulled her out of bed. She tried to resist, but he was too strong.*

Jo: But-

Nathan: Have you even called Chris since you've been home?

Jo: No.

Nathan: You've gotta go.

Jo: No!

Nathan: Jo!

Jo: I'm scared! I need you.

*He gave her a look.*

Nathan: Don't do that. I'll be just one phone call away. I'll drive you. Come on.

*In the car, it was silent, until Jo spoke.*

Jo: Does Nancy still hate me?

Nathan: She never hated you.

Jo: But is she still mad?

Nathan: I don't know. But you need to figure that out between the two of you. I will not be the hitman.

Jo: You're not the hitman. You're my best friend and her husband.

*Jo scoffed.*

Nathan: Don't scoff at me.

*She scoffed louder, and he chuckled.*

Nathan: We're here.

Jo: Well. Here starts reality. I have a lot of damage control to do.

Nathan: You call me if you need me. Hey, promise me-

Jo: I promise.

*She leaned over and hugged him, he hugged back.*

Jo: Thank you.

*He smiled, and patted her back. She got out of the car and grabbed her suitcase out of the back. As he was backing out of the driveway, she smiled and waved, so he waved back. She fiddled with her keys at the door, but finally got it open. She stepped inside and for just a second, felt relieved to be home. Home sweet home... not. Her suitcase and purse fell straight on the floor, as well as her jaw. There stood Chris, and her mother. That's right. The mother that gave her an eating disorder, criticized her for all her life, pushed her away, and picked on every little thing she did, was standing in her living room. She was definitely not expecting Chris to be there, but her mind almost completely blocked him out with her mother standing there. She had only ever told one person everything about her mom: Tucker. Her friends knew she had troubles with her mom, and about the big things like the eating disorder, but Tucker was the only one who knew EVERYTHING.
