Picking Up From Last Episode
[the u-haul]
*Tom stood outside the truck, on the other side of the door. They all stopped and stared for a few moments. Nathan and Tucker had no idea who the strange man was, and were surprised to see Jo's tear filled eyes. She walked over to Tom and threw her hands over his neck, giving him the biggest hug. He wrapped his arms around her waist, almost catching her. They let go.*
Jo: How did you-
Tom: I needed to see you. I just couldn't let you leave like that.
Jo: How did you even find me?
Tom: Remember when you needed to go to the store late at night, but you were scared because we had just watched Poltergeist?
*She laughed.*
Tom: And I couldn't come because of my wheelchair? You gave me your location so I could make sure you were safe. Jo, when you left I knew I needed to follow you. When I got off the plane... I didn't even know where to go. So it led me here.
*Tucker and Nathan could tell from the accent that this was someone she met in Paris. Jo turned around and saw Tucker's face. Was he over her? Sure, probably yeah. But he wasn't expecting this stranger to appear and be wrapped up in Jo's arms. He wasn't sure if he was feeling jealousy or not, because in his mind he truly was over her. It was just... weird. The whole feeling.*
Jo: Guys, this is Tom. My... next door neighbor from Paris.
Tom: Hi.
Nathan: Hey man, nice to meet you. Thanks for letting us out.
Jo: That's Nathan, and that's Tucker.
*Tom knew right away. He remembers everything Jo had told him about Tucker. He was a little caught off guard to see that Jo was with him, but he wasn't going to jump to any conclusions.*
Tom: What are you guys doing here anyway?
Jo: We were driving to New York but we got a flat tire. Then we hitchhiked our way into this thing and I guess the driver got pulled over by the cops but he ran out on foot so... we've been stuck here.
Tom: You're going to New York?
Jo: Trying to.
Tom: What are we waiting for then?
*Jo smiled and Tucker and Nathan hopped out of the truck. Both Tom and Tucker reached their hands out to help Jo get down, so she awkwardly put one hand in each and used them both.*
Jo: Thanks.
One Day Later, Nighttime
[Manhattan, New York]
*Tom had driven them the rest of the way in his rental car he got from the airport. Jo sat in the front seat on her phone, while Tucker and Nathan looked out the window at the beautiful city.*
Jo: It says here that she played a show here last night, and she has one again tonight, starting in thirty minutes. It's the last show of her tour.
Tucker: Let me ask you something. If this is the last show of her tour, why couldn't we have just waited for her to come home in a few days?
Nathan: Nancy moved to New York after the divorce. She's not going anywhere after this.
Jo: The plan is... to convince her to come back home to LA so Nathan can see Natalie and hopefully get custody back. And... so she can be friends with everyone again. Hopefully.
*Jo still felt really bad about the way everything ended. She knew she hurt Nancy and wanted to make things right. She missed her best friend.*
Tucker: This place is huge, how are we supposed to find her?
