Morning
[Nancy and Nathan's house]
*Nancy was asleep on her side as her pregnant belly popped out of the sheets.*

Nathan: *whispering* Nancy, hey, Nancy.

*He nudged her, and she groaned. Eventually he got her awake and handed her a decaf coffee as she sat up.*

Nathan: The doctor called. They have our results.

Nancy: What'd they say?

Nathan: They want us to go in there.

*Nancy took a deep breath. If it was good news, they would've just told them over the phone, right?*

Nancy: Okay. I'll get dressed.

*She rolled out of bed.*

Later
[Tucker's old house]
*Jo and Tucker drove by his old house. The same one he had his goodbye party in. No one lived there anymore.*

Tucker: They're tearing it down.

Jo: Yeah. I bet the new owners are redoing it.

Tucker: Probably. Wanna go look?

Jo: Sure.

*They parked and got out of the car. No one else was there but them. They walked in. There was no furniture, but everything was still intact. They hadn't started tearing it down yet.*

Tucker: Wow. It's weird seeing it this way.

*Jo walked around.*

Jo: Here's your old room.

*He ran over and chuckled.*

Tucker: Our first kiss was right there.

Jo: Oh yeah.

*They turned and looked at each other. They both got nervous suddenly, just staring deep into each other's eyes. This whole dating thing was so new, and Jo has been waking up lately, realizing just how into Tucker he is. It's like her whole perspective on him has flipped. He saw her cheeks flush and a smile creep onto her face.*

Tucker: What?

Jo: Nothing. You're just cute.

Tucker: What?

*He laughed, unsure if he did something specific to bring this on, or If it was really just how she felt.*

Jo: You're cute. I like your face. And looking at it. I like you.

*He softly smiled and traced her cheek with his finger. He kissed her forehead, and she closed her eyes.*

Tucker: You're cute, too.

Jo: Oh, I'm cute?

Tucker: Extremely.

Jo: As cute at this?

*She pointed to a wall, where Tucker's heights growing up had been marked.*

Tucker: Way cuter!

*He teased her and poked her stomach, which tickled. She laughed and they rough housed for a second. She put him against the wall, found a marker on the floor, and traced his new height. It was taller than the last line by a lot.*

That Same Time
[the hospital]
*Nancy was in sweats. Even though she usually looked made up, today just wasn't the day. They sat down in an office behind a desk. The doctor sat on the other side.*

Doctor: Good morning.

Nathan: Morning.

*The doctor cleared his throat.*

Doctor: We got your test results back from Tuesday. And, unfortunately, uh... they aren't good.

*Nancy's heart sank.*
