APRIL
Morning
[the hospital, Maine]
*Jo and Tucker both laid in the hospital bed, with her arm wrapped around him. They were snuggled up, and had fallen asleep. Her eyes opened and adjusted to the light, but then she remembered where she was... and who she was on. She knew she should get off, but she didn't want to. She pretended she was still asleep, but he then woke up. She pretended to wake up at the same time as him and jumped off really quickly.*
Tucker: Woah-
Jo: Sorry.
Tucker: It's okay.
Jo: I don't... remember how that happened.
Tucker: Me neither. We didn't... do anything else, did we?
Jo: No! Of course not. I have a boyfriend.
Tucker: Right. How is he, by the way?
*Jo gave him "the look" because they both knew she had no idea how he was.*
Jo: We didn't do anything.
Tucker: Are you trying to convince me or yourself?
Jo: Shut up.
*Steff walked in, in the middle of their argument.*
Steff: Hey, Tuck-
*She saw that Jo was there, and was kind of surprised since it was so early in the morning. She could easily tell by Jo's hair and the mess on the bed that Jo slept there.*
Steff: Oh! Jo, you're here. Did I- walk in on something?
Tucker & Jo: No!
Steff: Okay...
Tucker: Jo was just leaving.
Jo: Couldn't agree more. Bye, Steff.
Steff: Bye!
*Jo walked out, and Steff looked at Tucker, to try and pressure him into telling her what happened.*
Tucker: Nothing happened!
That Same Time
[Hallie's apartment]
*Damon was all moved out. It happened really fast. Due to the time difference, it was 7:30am in Maine, but only 4:30am in California. Hallie's eyes bursted open, scared. Her heart raced fast and she sat up in bed. She had a nightmare. A bad one. Oh no. Was this going to keep happening? What if she has a recurring nightmare about Damon? What if she needs therapy? What if she can never sleep peacefully again? No. Stop it. She couldn't think like this, it was only the first night without him. She got out of bed and walked around, trying to clear her head. She made herself a glass of tea, to try and help her fall asleep again. As she drank it, she walked over to the window and looked out at her street. But then... she saw it. Her heart dropped. Damon's car... driving down the street. It was getting closer and closer to her apartment. Her heart raced, she immediately felt like crying. She slammed her mug on the table and ran around the apartment to lock every window, and every door. Then she remembered he knew where the hide-a-key was. She couldn't go out and get it, it was too late. So she ran to her room and grabbed a bat she kept under the bed. She stood in front of the door, holding it up, ready to defend herself. She couldn't help but cry. Cry out of fear, out of anger, and out of pain. Moments passed, and she heard nothing. She looked out the window again, terrified she'd see his face on the doorstep. But then she saw the car pull into a driveway across the street, and an old lady stepped out. She used her cane to help her get to the front door, and when Hallie was finally certain she was safe, she dropped the bat, and dropped to her knees. All she did was cry, and cry. She knew at that moment, her life was changed forever. She could never fully recover.*
Later
[the staples center]
*Nancy was performing a show tonight at the Staples Center. While it was only 10:00am and her show was at 9:00pm, she needed to be rehearsing all day. When her song finished, Nathan stood up in the audience clapping as loud as he could.*
