Morning
[The streets of Beverly Hills]
*Hallie was doing a morning jog outside. She ran past the plaza, her house, the park, and so on. She had a sports bra and leggings on with her hair up in a ponytail. Nathan was at an outdoor magazine stand, when he noticed her running across the street. He put his magazine down, and decided to catch up with her. He was wearing sweats and a t-shirt.*

Nathan: Hey!

Hallie: *out of breath* Hey! What are you doing here?

Nathan: Saw you running, decided to join.

Hallie: Okay.

Nathan: Water?

*He handed her bottled water, and she took a sip. She handed it back to him, and he took a sip.*

Hallie: Thanks.

Nathan: I didn't know you were a runner?

Hallie: Well, I try to go once a day. But I've missed the last... twelve hundred times.

*He laughed.*

Nathan: I want to start with you.

Hallie: Oh, you should! You better start getting in shape for the big day!

*She patted his stomach as a joke, and sped ahead of him.*

Hallie: Come on!

*He ran and caught up to her. They were talking some more, but suddenly, Hallie ran into a man, and fell. She didn't see his face yet, and was kind of annoyed she fell. Nathan pulled her back up, and as she was coming up, she recognized his british accent right away.*

Man: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I- Hallie?!

Hallie: Leo! Hi!

Leo: Hi! I'm so sorry about that, I-

Hallie: No, it's okay. I wasn't looking where I was going and...

*It got silent.*

Leo: Well, this is officially awkward.

*Hallie uncomfortably laughed.*

Leo: Who's this?

Hallie: Oh! This is-

Nathan: I'm not uh-

Hallie: It's not what it looks like!-

Nathan: I'm engaged!

Hallie: Not to me!

Nathan: No!

Hallie: We're just uh-

Nathan: Friends.

Hallie: Exactly. Friends.

Leo: Oh, nice to meet you.

Nathan: You too.

Leo: So Hallie, how have you been?

Hallie: I've been pretty good. You?

Leo: I'm doing fine myself, thank you.

Hallie: You never called.

Nathan: Blunt.

*Hallie gave Nathan a look.*

Leo: Right, uh... would you believe me if I told you I lost your number?

*She laughed.*

Hallie: That's the oldest one in the book!

Leo: Right, uhh... the truth is, I've just been going through a lot lately, and I couldn't bring myself to calling you. But I'm doing much better right now, I and I know I'm ready.
