Noon
[Jo's apartment]
*Nancy knocks, and Jo opens the door*
Jo: Hey, come in.
Nancy: Wow, you look tired.
Jo: Weird, since all I've been doing is sleeping.
Nancy: Jo, are you okay? *concerned, knowing she isn't okay.*
Jo: You know, I've spent the past month of my life crying, sleeping, and eating. That's it. And he is just hanging out with you guys no problem, like nothing ever happened.
Nancy: He's hurting too, and-
Jo: You know what it is? I bet he's seeing someone! That's it. He met someone and couldn't be happier! He probably regrets ever being with me in the first place.
Nancy: Jo... you know that's not true. Trust me, he is in just as much pain as you.
Jo: Really? Because he seems fine to me.
Nancy: You don't know that, you're never with us and you haven't seen him in three weeks.
Jo: Well excuse me if I-
Nancy: No no! That's not what I'm saying. All I'm saying is, you don't know if he's hurting or not.
Jo: *sarcastically* Yeah right, because all of those times where you are all hanging out, he's crying.
Nancy: Well, not... listen... everybody deals with heartbreak differently. For you, staying inside and letting it all out works best. But for him, hanging out with friends and taking his mind off of it works best.
Jo: What, so you're saying that he just pushes it all aside and never deals with it?
Nancy: I don't know, maybe he cries alone, or maybe never at all. But I know he is crying a river inside.
Jo: Maybe.
Nancy: Now come here.
*Jo smiles, and both girls hug.*
Nancy: Mmmm, I've missed you.
Jo: Yeah, I've missed you guys too.
*Nancy and Jo smiled.*
That Night
[Downtown, their local outdoor shopping center called, The Plaza]
*Nathan and Steven are walking around the plaza, when all of a sudden, Steven spots Noah.*
Steven: Oh great.
Nathan: What?
Steven: That's Noah.
Nathan: What, you mean Nancy's ex boyfriend?
Steven: Yeah, I kind of haven't seen him since we turned his house into a jungle gym. So we should- we should just leave.
Nathan: No hang on a minute, if this is the Noah that broke her heart, I think we should go meet this guy.
Steven: No, no we shouldn't.
Nathan: It's not a big deal, just going to go give him what he deserves.
*Steven grabbed Nathan's arm, holding him back*
Steven: Don't touch him, man.
Nathan: Nothing physical, just a little-
Steven: C'mon man since when do you care about Nancy's ex boyfriend?
Nathan: Well since... since, you know... why do you care?
Steven: That's what I'm asking you!
*Nathan pulled his arm free, and walked over to Noah. Noah was in a big group of people at a bar.*
