Picking Up From Last Episode
[Nathan's driveway]
*Nancy and Nathan stood there kissing, and then let go. Their foreheads touched, then separated, leaving their faces inches apart.*
Nathan: Marry me.
*Nancy's eyes widened. She definitely did not expect that.*
Nancy: W-what?
Nathan: Marry me. I know it sounds crazy and it's so soon but I meant every word I just said. I love you, Nancy.
*They both stood there for a moment, as Nancy took in the proposal. She quickly made up her mind.*
Nancy: Okay.
*A big smile spread across her face.*
Nathan: Okay?!
Nancy: Okay.
*He giggled in excitement.*
Nathan: I didn't think that would be your answer!
*She laughed while the rain trickled down her face.*
Nathan: I have no clue how this is gonna work.
Nancy: I don't either. But as long as I'm with you, I don't care what gets in the way.
*He kissed her again.*
Nathan: Are we engaged?!
Nancy: We're engaged!
Both: Aahh!
*They both jumped in excitement. Nancy cracked an inappropriate joke.*
Nancy: Hey, not my first time!
*His smile faded.*
Nancy: Sorry! I'm bad at this.
*He smiled again and out his arm around her as they headed back inside.*
Nancy: I'll get better, I promise!
The Next Day
[the plaza]
*The rain has cleared since last night, however it was still wet outside. So, the gang couldn't sit in their usual spot. Nancy walked into their favorite breakfast cafe, and sat down with Nina, and Hallie.*
Nina: Hey!
Nancy: Hi girls!
Hallie: How are you?
Nina: Oh yeah! How did last night go?!
Hallie: We're dying to know! And we brought tissues, in case you need to cry.
*Nancy couldn't wipe away her smile.*
Nancy: Guys- thank you and all, but last night actually ended on a good note.
Hallie: Oh goody!!
Nina: Did you guys get back together?
Nancy: *smiling* Um... yeah!
Nina: So... how did it happen?!
Nancy: There's gonna be a wedding!
*Nina and Hallie's face went blank. They were shocked, to say the least.*
Nina: W- wha-
*Nancy giggled.*
Hallie: I- I can't lie, I'm shocked!
Nancy: Oh, I know! It's huge news, believe me!
Nina: You- you're engaged?!
Nancy: Mhmm!
Nina: I'm so- so happy for you, oh my gosh!
*They all leaned in to hug Nancy.*
Hallie: Yes! Congratulations!
