"Yeah!!"
"Get him, Shuuk!"
"I bet nearly a lifetime of savings on this battle! You better rip his heart out, Chim!"
Hundreds of roars collided as a single wave that resounded forcefully through the barren lands of mountains and ridges.
This place was none other than the next district that Horu Sakaki and his companions; Yae the Daemon, and Lily Morningstar.
As they traveled through the dark and deep ridges between the kingdom of mountains, Horu couldn't help but look up at where the roars and cheers came from.
Ever since he awakened the Blessing of Wrath, and smashed the so-called gates that Ignis spoke of, Horu's senses and overall physique became incredibly enhanced.
It was hard to see from his standpoint, but his eyes were locked to the humongous mountain at the center, surely to have a mass equal to that of a country.
"I've never seen a mountain that huge..."
He admired.
"I have no words..."
"Horu."
"Hm?"
Yae—who followed behind princess Lily and Horu—lightly jerked the hem of the latter's cloak.
"I have a bad feeling about this. We shouldn't go."
Yae had recently discovered a part of her that she never thought she would, but at the cost of the individual she couldn't live without.
Yae could barely summon a skeleton when they first started their journey.
However, practice makes perfect, is what they say.
Yae took whatever moment she had for herself to practice her recently uncovered Death magic.
Not only did she practice like crazy, but Yae appeared to have a gift of some sort.
"Don't worry about it. We're barely at the foot of these mountains, the Dragon King can't possibly spot us from here."
He said, consoling Yae from any danger that was ahead. Yae didn't seem convinced and kept tugging the hem of Horu's cloak as he kept walking through the ridge.
"No, you don't understand."
"Look, Yae—!"
Suddenly, multiple sounds of fluttering emerged from in front of the threesome.
They had wings, scales, and were equipped with human-resembling bodies and spears.
"Look what we have here..."
"Khun, you think the sparkly one is the tastiest?"
"I dunno. Let's find out."
A group of armored Dragons surrounded Horu and his companions. Lily hurriedly hid behind Horu as Yae got into a stance, ready to summon a skeleton warrior.
However, she was stopped by Horu, who extended his arm as if to indicate that the summon would do no good in a fight against these winged entities.
The Dragon who went by the name, Khun, licked his jaws. The winged beast was about to charge at the group of hooded figures.
"Intruders! State your business!"
Yae and Lily kept their silence and sought an answer from Horu, who's expression was hidden behind his bangs.
The latter proceeded to lower his hood and waved at the Dragon in the center who seemed to be the leader of the squad.
"Yo! My companions and I are looking for the Dragon King. You guys seen him around? It's kind of urgent..."
