"What is this place?"
An angel descended from the sky.
She was the world's strongest magician.
At the time, she wasn't in her world.
Cuddled in her hands was her newborn child, crying and kicking around.
Luckily for her, she possessed Anemoi.
Mei managed to travel to the sealed dimension and catch the child before time could even continue ticking.
The shadowy figure sealed the child without its health in mind. If Mei wasn't there, the child would've died immediately.
The latter spawned in the middle of the air.
Mei Sakaki flew around the vicinity for a bit, then descended to a particular yard.
I don't sense a single trace of magic from this world. Thank god. If I didn't possess Anemoi...
Mei thought very hard about the situation until her thinking got interrupted...
"Hello...? Who's there? Oh my—!"
A woman in pajamas emerged from her front door to see what triggered the porch spotlight. The yard that Mei found herself in, belonged to none other than Hina Amazugawa.
"W-what are you?"
"Whatever you do, do not call the police. I've got a child with me."
This world doesn't have the concept of magic. It would be bad if I dispelled Anemoi. I need to hurry and come up with a—
The Wings of Zephyr, Anemoi, could only carry the wielder. Not only that, but the seal was impossible to break. Anyone could get in or out, but the subject of the seal couldn't.
"I'll be right back, can you please hold on to him?" Mei said, whilst giving the most beautiful smile that mankind could ever possibly own.
"Y-you're an angel, aren't you?" Hina said.
"Surely, I'm not. I'm as good as a human as you are. Now listen, I need you to take care of this child. Raise him as if he's your own... pl-please... his name... Horu Sakaki..."
Tears started rolling down Mei's cheeks. She perished any thought of staying in that dimension, and raise her son. If the world's strongest person had vanished without a trace, it would be dire. Although, losing her child on the day of his birth was something that no mother would do, even if the world's fate depended on it.
However, she did what she had to do. Mei Sakaki was mankind's only insurance against the gods. If she disappeared, mankind was as good as doomed.
"..."
"Promise me!"
The woman stood utterly dumbfounded. For a moment, she thought that she was dreaming. It wasn't long before she regained her senses and gave a reply.
"I-i promise..."
"Where is this?"
"This place? Japan."
Suddenly, Mei disappeared. But before Hina could react, she appeared right in front of her. As if she never went in the first place. In her hands, was a huge bag.
"Take this..."
Mei handed the bag over to Hina and kissed the baby on his forehead as she bid her farewells. The angel sprouted her wings and disappeared within the blink of an eye.
Hina was curious about the contents of the heavy bag, so she peeked. And as soon as she did, she let out a squeal that nearly woke up her neighbors.
