News of an unknown group of escapees slaying Lucifer, thus freeing one of the ten districts of the City of Souls, spread quickly.
"Kojiro-sama, I got great news!"
The news that spread like a mutated virus had reached the leader of the Daemon rebellion, who had set up an underground base in the deserted district of the late Alexander.
The samurai leader of the rebellion was currently practicing with a wooden sword made to perfectly match the weight and length of his equipment.
One of his most trusted allies, a young soldier whose identity he couldn't recall, rushed inside the samurai's quarters, skipping all formalities.
Swish!
The wooden sword suddenly caught itself between the rough bricks of the wall. The sword got flung with such swiftness and force that it managed to dig a hole, defying gravity and staying afloat between the cracks.
The young soldier wiped the rolling blood off his cheeks as the wooden sword left a clean cut in his skin.
"Next time I'll aim for your head."
The young soldier bowed down to all fours and continuously apologized to his leader and master. The latter shrugged the situation off and ordered the formed to get up and state the horrible news he was about to bring for the dozenth time.
"Scouts have declared the Apostle, Lucifer, as deceased. The district is free for the taking!"
"Who is responsible for this?"
"W-we don't know! Sources describe that Lucifer's daughter, princess Lily Morningstar, is associated with the suspect."
"Hmm... Where is she now?"
"Apparently they've gone down south and are headed for the next district."
"Interesting. As of now, we wait and see how this goes. Sending reinforcements would be too risky. If their goal correlates to ours, this is the biggest chance we got. Now, if you may..."
The samurai leader walked over to the wooden sword stuck into the wall and ripped it out, causing the crack in the wall to spread.
The young soldier bowed and left in an instant, leaving the samurai on his own in the room that reeked like sweat and pure devotion.
"One must wonder..."
~~~~~
"Wakey wakey, sleepyhead."
Goddamn.
"It is no time to doze off, boy."
Where the hell am I?
Horu Sasaki slowly opened his eyes to a drastically pink setting. The space he found himself in was surrounded by four, pink walls.
The only source of light was a candle that stood lonely at the center and was responsible for the room being pink.
As he laid on the floor, he saw a bunch of clothing being thrown around by arms that belonged to none other than himself.
