Ignis.
Every time his name pops up, more mystery gets unveiled. But at the same time, I just can't figure out what kind of person I used to be in my previous life.
So far, all I know is that he was powerful and brave.
Not only am I his reincarnation, but his consciousness seems to dwell inside me as well.
How is that possible...
Just who am I?
Horu pondered as he received a bombshell of information from Kaede.
The latter revealed to her classmates that the former's past self was responsible for splitting creation in half.
That occurrence was dubbed by humans as the Rupture and caused an imbalance to the multiverse.
The universe that contained the Earth and its solar system took the greatest blow.
An ever-lasting incursion caused many celestial bodies to leak into the universes that were victim to the Rupture.
In return, many entities and realms from different universes got scattered or fused with others.
Hence, the presence of monsters and entities such as Dragons.
The Rupture was the most critical event in all of cosmic history. It was often taught immediately in the first year at the FMA during Magic History classes.
Ever since, mankind antagonized the god known as Ignis. Thus, it would've been bad if word got out that Horu, its reincarnation, walked freely on campus.
"Enough prattle! You all dare disturb my rest as well as ignore my presence?!"
The Dragon lost its patience and glared sharply at the group of prey in the distance.
There were at least two soccer fields in length between it and the humans.
It roared as loud as a Dragon could, which caused many students to press their hands against their ears.
The roar itself seemed to tear space apart.
Some writhed in pain due to the dragon's mighty roar.
The only person who hadn't been fazed by the roar was Kaede. She challenged the dragon by furrowing her brow as she puffed out her chest.
As a result, the Dragon got irked and threw the spear in her direction sound breaking velocity.
Kaede's skirt slowly hovered as a golden aura emerged and outlined her body.
She thrust out her hand as a wall of solid material emerged from the ground to block the spear.
"Is that all you go—"
Kaede said with a smirk when she got interrupted by a pat on her shoulder.
It was Horu.
He got up from the floor after recovering from the dragon's painful roar.
"Let me do this."
"Huh? No! Are you insane? You can barely use a quarter of your skills correctly and you want me to allow you to face a Dragon?! Absolutely not!"
