"Rrraaaahhhhh!!!!"
"Shit."
The female legend of a Dragon charged right at Horu Sakaki with her battleaxe cocked back. When she nearer close range, Adalon diagonally swung both arms at such speed that even space got torn asunder.
Horu's body was already capable of withstanding the utilization of raw magic. Life energy was the direct source of these destructive yet creative arts of the Gods.
The gates to power inside him were attached to his very existence. As his soul itself was an aspect of the Blessing; there was an infinite container of divine essence wherever he went.
Using his own life energy meant tapping into what laid beyond the gates Ignis spoke of.
However, Horu's only known parent was the world's strongest human. Horu Sakaki was mortal and thus, incapable of utilizing the Blessing of Wrath to its fullest.
As such, Horu had no choice but to retreat to the mortal ways and use the skills crafted by the Gods.
As if in an Olympics race, Horu ran counter-clockwise aside the walls to avoid the battleaxe swung wildly by the female Dragon.
SLAM! BOOM! CRASH!
He occasionally had to roll dodge or slide across the harsh ground, gradually ripping his skin. The crowd booed at the mortal who could do nothing but run for his life.
He was out of options. Well, it was more so that he hadn't any, to begin with. It took him not even a split second to realize he was doomed.
"STOP RUNNING!"
The brutal Dragon roared like the sound waves flowing from her mouth distorted the space around her pray, ultimately paralyzing the latter.
Adalon bent her knees and squatted. A moment later, the Dragon disappeared as the crimson hues of the sky lost their brightness. Everything turned dark when Adalon leaped into the air with her warhead of a battleaxe brandished above her head.
The crowd gasped in awe and reverence as the Dragon initiated one of her finisher moves.
It seemed that Horu ticked her off by reverting to cowardice. To her, Horu was nothing more than a bug trapped in a spiderweb.
It was all over.
"Ada-lon! Ada-lon! Ada-lon! Ada...!"
The cheering of the crowd grew louder and louder, livelier and livelier as but a single move lifted the spirits of all the Dragons present.
All but one.
CLAANGGG!!!
Horu saw his life flash by only to notice a slim shadow was cast over him. At first, he thought it was Death himself who he'd met again.
The thought was dashed when he heard a calm voice.
"Adalon the Mighty. It is an honor to meet blades with the greatest champion in the history of our kin."
The current champion—the blue Dragon with a slim yet substantial figure—interfered with Horu's bound execution.
His words were uttered in the tiny moment the two forces of immense and natural power clashed blades.
The mountain of a Dragon dropped to the surface with unreasonable velocity, yet the smaller built Dragon of inferior scale color was able to parry the nuke of an attack.
And quite literally at that.
The arena was handcrafted by the Dragon King himself and the interior—from the walls to the ground—was made of the same material.
