A deadly silence reigned over a certain bulky mountain after the right hand of the Dragon King announced the latter's plan.

The Dragons present hadn't a clue how to react to Khavasha's words as all of them were perplexed, and even more so, surprised.

Simultaneously, the prideful Dragons amongst these scaly spectators were boiling with rage as they bawled their claws and gritted their teeth.

Both the baffled and prideful Dragons scorned the contestants standing victoriously at the center of the nearly demolished arena.

Khavasha's lips curled upwards as his skin shivered of excitement for a split moment. He then nodded to his left and right, only for the gates on both sides of the arena to slowly open as guards stormed the arena to escort the competitors.

"Wait."

Khavasha ordered the guards with a serene tone. The latter stopped dead in their tracks and swiftly turned to the Dragon King's podium, where the right hand of the monarch of Dragons thrust his left claw out.

Lily Morningstar was nowhere to be spotted by Horu, which made him more worried than what was announced by Khavasha.

"You. What is your name?"

Khavasha was a yellow Dragon with fierce, red eyes that could kill any third-rate mortal that dared look him in the eyes.

The same eyes that were pinched in suspicion towards the blue Dragon about to be escorted to his cell. However, the latter remained silent and avoided the question.

Khavasha caught up to this notion and nodded again, causing the guards to resume their trip to the cells buried below the arena.

That's pretty much all I can remember, huh? Feeling more like an amnesiac by the day.

Horu reminisced of the events that occurred a couple of days back as he gazed at his bandaged body. His surroundings were familiar and, by now, felt like home, cold, murky, mysterious, and above all, cold.

"Why'd you do it?"

There were currently two individuals in the cells to his side. The female Daemon in the cell to his left was sleeping soundlessly as he flung an anxious question at the blue Dragon to his right.

"...Do what?"

They had been there for a couple of days. Yet, these were the first words coming from the blue ex-champion.

"You betrayed your kind and let us live."

The blue Dragon, who Horu hadn't known anything of except for his phenomenal skill in the arts of Sōjutsu, took a deep breath before standing up and answering the latter's question.

"There is no honor in slaying the weak. It is beneath my dignity to slay an unarmed woman. Above all, mortal, it is not the ways of a true Dragon to kill the innocent."

"And what makes you think I am innocent?"

Horu's answer spawned a moment of conflict between the two as they scowled at each other from the corner of their eye.

"The fact that you're breathing here, as a human."

Horu stood up and gradually executed the distance between him and the cell's bars as he locked into the Dragon's azure blue eyes.
