Red, paper lanterns hung everywhere and were the main source of light responsible for making the city so beautiful at night. Unlike in the previous districts, there were far fewer supernatural entities than Horu had expected.

The busy streets were filled with joyful Daemons with the appearances of ordinary humans clad in yukatas, emitting tapping sounds with their zōris.

Horu and his two female companions were astonished by the joyful and rich atmosphere. So far they had only encountered hollow, gloomy, or violent and wild districts. However, this city was a far cry from those anti-climactic locations.

"So? How do I look?"

Lily returned from changing into a yukata as the group had decided to blend in with the masses. Luckily, yet surprisingly, they found a clothing store not far away from the city's gates, where the security was very minimized.

Horu turned around and blinked a couple of times before forming a smile, amazed at the princess' new appearance.

She wore a white yukata with sakura flowers as patterns. Her white hair, which she usually held in a long ponytail, comprised a nice bun at the crown as fringes fell over her forehead. This elegant hairstyle synchronized well with her dimples and bright smile.

The highlight to Lily's formidable look was the disappearance of the red horn on her head. Her red irises shined brightly, and along with her pale skin, she seemed more like a vampire than a Demon now that her horn had gone.

She looks stunning. Wait, where did her horn go?

Horu wanted to ask before another figure got out of the fitting room neighboring Lily's. It was Yae, who grabbed her yukata and shyly looked away. Her right bangs were swept to the side as the left covered her eye, her short bob-cut being combed over near the back.

Yae's yukata was of a pastel-green color with no flashy patterns or prints. She kept it simple, yet Lily clapped her hands once with a bright smile before approaching the former and complimenting her on her looks.

Horu himself wore a light black yukata. He had no horns and neither was his skin pale or transparent. He was neither Demon nor Daemon, and he for sure didn't seem like a monster.

The clothier had never seen a human before in the Underworld that wasn't already deceased and had nearly forgotten that the yukata of a mortal was supposed to be wrapped left over right.

This cannot be! What is a human doing here in my store? How can a human survive in the Underworld, it should be impossible!

The clothier forced a bright beam on his face as he slowly walked backward, out of the conversation held between Horu and his two female companions.

As soon as he ensured enough distance, he nodded at a colleague, whose eyes were locked onto Horu the latter's entire visit. The colleague walked towards the backdoor as he removed his uniform and made a run for it.

"Sir, I've got urgent news from above."

A man clad in dark-brown, leather armor made for stealth purposes, entered a dim-lit room where a bunch of peculiar and obscure people was gathered. In the midst of them leaned a man on a circular table. In front of him were papers and maps.
