After waiting a few months, Steven and Mary finally took Carson to Diagon alley. He had bought all his schoolbooks, plus a few extras for his personal enjoyment and his wand. His wand was a 9 3/4 Ashwood with a unicorn hair core. He had even gotten a pet owl, Snowball.

Diagon alley was quite full today, since most kids were shopping for their school things today. Carson's parents had taken him over the summer. They had also run into their friends, The Weasley family.

"Hi Ron! Are you excited for Hogwarts?!" Carson asked, once he reached Ron Weasley, the youngest Weasley boy who was in Carson's year.

"Yep! What house do you hope to be in?" Ron asked, his red hair shining in the sunlight.

"Either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff! I hope I get Gryffindor more, but I wouldn't mind Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw either." Carson told the boy, earning a nod from Ron's brothers Fred and George.

"Well Carson, we sure hope you're in Gryffindor." George started off, "So we can use you as bait for pranks!" Fred said, finishing off George's sentence.

Carson winced at the thought but brushed it off. They wouldn't get him too bad. If they did Molly Weasley, their mum, would have a fit. Molly doesn't necessarily approve of their pranks.

The Marshall's spent the rest of their time in Diagon alley with the Weasleys. Carson had noticed a very tall man, his clothes shabby. He was with a tiny boy. The boy must be a first year as well. Percy Weasley seemed to notice Carson's stare and spoke up.

"That's Hagrid. He's the gamekeeper at Hogwarts." Percy mentioned, Carson turning his attention to the red headed prefect.

"Why is he so tall?" Carson asked, Ron nodding in agreement as well.

"He's probably part giant or something. I must be getting my books now. Goodbye Carson." Percy said, before leaving the boys in a hurry. Ron rolled his eyes at his brothers behavior.

After the Marshall's had gotten the rest of Carson's things, they went back home, and Carson picked up the first book to read. He opened "Hogwarts, a History" and started to read. The book was quite long, and he was certainly not going to finish it all today.

Carson fell asleep for the night, the book still in his grasp. His dreams consisted of his adventures at Hogwarts.
