They walked into the courtroom, seeing a wizard get turned over to the dementors. They looked for a second, frightened by how merciless they were, and continued on.

As they saw the dark and dreary room, Ron eyed Umbridge suspiciously.

"What is it?"

"Carson, it's here..." Ron whispers, as a woman comes their way.

"Reg..."

As they turned around, they saw a frail woman with her wrists chained, her eyes shining brightly at the sight of Ron, it must've been Reg's wife. Carson ugres Ron to go sit with her, and takes a seat over by Hermione.

"Mary Elizabeth Cattermole?" Umbridge asks, starting the interrogation.

"Yes." Mary looks up at Ron with fear, and he smiles at her, and she returns her thoughts to Umbridge.

"Mother to Maisie, Ellie and Alfred? Wife to Reginald?"

"Yes."

Carson's eyes hover to Umbridge, seeing the locket hung around her neck. Hermione seemed to have noticed it too, and they both shared a look with each other.

"A wand was taken from you upon your arrival at the Ministry today, Mrs. Cattermole. Is this that wand?" Umbridge asked, holding up a wand.

"Would you please tell the court from which witch or wizard you took this wand?"

"But I didn't take it. I got it in Diagon Alley, at Ollivander's, when I was eleven. It chose me."

"No, no, I don't think so, Mrs. Cattermole. Wands only choose witches. And you are not a witch."

"But I am! Tell them, Reg! Tell them what I am!"

Ron tries to speak up, but Umbridge's gaze is focused on Harry, his wand raised at her. As he starts to speak, his polyjuice wears off.

"You're lying. And one mustn't tell lies, Dolores... Stupefy!"

As she falls, Carson grabs the locket and passes it to Harry. They all run out of the courtroom, Carson making sure Hermione was safe in front of him. As he runs, the dementors catch up to him.

"Expecto patronum!"

As the fox got rid of the dementor, Hermione freed Mrs. Cattermole from her chains.

"You? It's you! Reg, it's Harry Potter!"

"'Tis, isn't it? This'll be one to tell the kids."

As they ran off, many other witches and wizards seemed to notice Harry, as they kept murmuring about him.

"Harry... they've seen you. We've gotta get out of here. Now!"

"Mary. Go home. Get the kids. I'll... I'll meet you there. We have to get out of the country, understand?" Ron told her, his own polyjuice slowly wearing off. Mary shakes her head in confusion before going off and running away.

They ran to the exits, as Yaxley trailed behind them.

"Seal the exits! Now!"

Harry, Ron and Hermione glance at each other, break for the fireplaces. As Yaxley fires on them, one fireplace after another seals itself. As they reach the last open grate, they all jump in. Everything goes black, and they arrive at Grimmauld place.

Except not all of them were there, just Carson and Yaxley. Hermione had accidentally apparated without him.

"Avada kedavra!" Carson shouted, before Yaxley could say the same to him. As Yaxley dropped, Carson ran from the house, it now not being under the fidelius charm. He had killed Yaxley.

Carson ran and ran, eventually finding a cave in the nearby woods to hide out in. He rummaged through his pocket and found the necklace and sent a light to Hermione.

Once the three landed in the woods, Harry got up and grabbed the locket as Hermione cried out for him.

"Harry, quickly, in my bag, there's a small bottle labeled 'Essence of Dittany.' Quickly!"

"What happened? Accio Dittany." Harry asked, as he crowded around Ron. He had been splinched.

"Unstopper it."

As Hermione ripped off Ron's shirt, she healed him up as best as she could.

"Where's Carson?"

"I don't know! He must still be at Grimmauld place! I brought us here since Yaxley had grabbed a hold on me! But I shook him off with a revulsion jinx, one that must have hit Carson as well! I left him there! I tried to save all of us but sent the father of my child to his death!" Hermione cried, as Harry brought her into a hug. They were brought out of their hug when a light came from under Hermione's shirt.

Both Harry and Hermione smiled, knowing nobody else knew about the necklace except them, proving Carson was alive, now he just needed to find them.
