The next day, the Weasley's, plus Carson, Harry, and Hermione, went to go get their school supplies. They also were making a stop at George and Fred's new shop.
When they walked in, it was complete and utter madness. Ever-Bashing Boomerangs whip through the air, Dr. Filibuster's Fabulous Wet-Start No-Heat fireworks spit sparks, and Nose-Biting Teacups bare tiny porcelain teeth, everything you could think of was there.
"Step up! Step up!"
"We've got Fainting Fancy..."
"Nosebleed Nougats..."
"And just in time for school..."
"Puking Pastilles!"
A boy chewing on one suddenly went pale, and Fred walked over. "Into the cauldron handsome!"
Together, with the tips of their toes, Fred and George launch a sloshing cauldron down the counter, drop down on either side of Harry and Carson, and begin to steer them through the store.
"What'd you think, boys?" Fred asked, as Carson looked at the store in awe.
"Amazing..."
George turned to a boy browsing the shelves behind him, "Pocket that and you'll pay in more than Galleons, my friend."
The boy, working a screaming yo-yo, goes red as Fred and George turn, revealing they do in fact have eyes in the back of their heads. They were phony, but unnerving. As the eyes wink, the tiny boy bolts.
"Bloody urchins.." George mutters, as he turns back to Harry and Carson. Carson went to go find Hermione, and Fred and George found her before Carson did.
"Hello ladies!"
George drops one of the lumps in Harry's hand, turns to Ginny and Hermione, who pursue a display of 'Wonder Witch Love Potions.'
"Yes, they do really work. But Hermione, I don't think you need one. You're doing just fine my dear Hermione Marshall."
Hermione went red and smacked Fred's arm, before taking Carson's hand in hers.
"Then again, the way we hear it, sis, you're doing just fine on your own."
"Meaning?"
"Are you not currently dating Dean Thomas?" Fred asked, as Harry pretended to be interested in a product, secretly listening into the conversation.
"None of your business."
"These are adorable!" Hermione squealed, as she looked at a ball of fluff.
"Aren't they now. Pygmy Puffs. Can't breed them fast enough." George told her.
Just then a huge boy, who Carson knew to be Cormac McLaggen, passes behind Hermione and, with his eyes, takes the full measure of her. Hermione notices, and kisses Carson passionately, making sure Cormac saw. The boy looked defeated, but soon a smirk arose on his face, thinking he could win her over.
"How much for this?" Ron asked his brothers, holding a small object in his hand.
"Five galleons." The twins told him in unison.
"How much for me?"
"Five galleons."
"But I'm your brother!"
"Ten galleons."
"C'mon. Let's go." Ron told the three of his friends, and they exited the store.
"Hi Ron!" Lavender Brown squealed, as he smiled at her.
"Hey." Ron murmured, a blush creeping on his face.
The quartet left the store and walked down the alley. "How is Fred and George doing it? Half the alley's closed down." Hermione exclaimed, Carson shrugging his shoulders and taking his hand in hers.
"Fred reckons people need a laugh these days." Ron informed them.
"Reckon he's right..."
"Oh no. Look." Hermione stated, as she pointed to Ollivanders wand shop. The windows were broken and the store was abandoned.
"But everyone got their wands from Ollivander. Young. Old..." Hermione stuttered, not able to believe he was gone.
"Good. Bad. Speaking of which..." Harry muttered, motioning to where Draco and Narcissa Malfoy were, and they were walking into knockturn alley, looking back and making sure they weren't followed.
"Is it just me? Or do Draco and mummy look like two people who don't want to be followed?"
