Ron enters the Hall, eyes lowered, knuckles taped for Quidditch, flexing his fingers anxiously as he makes for the Gryffindor table. Neville passes going the other way.
"Good luck Ron!"
Ron nods, then Seamus makes his way over to the redheaded boy.
"Counting on you, Ron. I've two Galleons on Gryffindor."
As Seamus leaves, Ron goes to sit with his friends and notices the Slytherin table looking at him. He doesn't pay attention to that and sits next to Carson.
"So. How was it?" Ron asked, as Hermione didn't take her eyes off the daily prophet.
"How was what?"
"Your dinner party."
"Awful. McLaggen was disgusting." Carson filled Ron in about the events that occurred.
"Dead boring. Though I think Harry enjoyed dessert."
"Ol' Sluggy's having a Christmas do, you know. And we're meant to bring someone..." Hermione started, Ron finishing her sentence.
"I expect you'll be going with Carson. Since you two are a thing and all that."
"Well yes, but I think I know someone who wants to ask you."
"Really?"
"Really. But seeing as you have such a distaste for the idea..."
"Good luck today, Ron! I know you'll be brilliant!" Lavender told him as she walked by where they were sitting.
"I'm resigning. After today's match. McLaggen can have my spot." Ron muttered out.
"No way Ron. I won't let you. You were great last year!"
"Have it your way. Juice?" Harry asked, sliding something over to Ron. He looks surprised at this, but takes it anyway.
"Sure..."
Then, Luna came by the table wearing a hat that looked like a lion, and occasionally roared.
"Hello, everyone. You look dreadful, Ron." Luna stated dreamily, "Is that why you just put something in his cup. Is it a tonic?" Harry's palm showed the vial of liquid luck he had earned.
"Don't drink that, Ron!" Hermione chided, but went upon deaf ears and Ron downed the cup.
"You could be expelled for that Harry!" Carson told him, as Harry shrugged.
"Dunno what you're talking about."
Ron rose from his seat, before speaking again. "C'mon, Harry, Carson. We've got a game to win."
Carson stood up as well, Hermione getting up too. "Don't get hurt love. Be careful. I'll be in the stands cheering you on. I love you." Hermione told him before pulling him into a kiss.
"I love you too 'Mione." Carson responded, going to walk with Harry and Ron down to the pitch.
Instantly, Slytherin grabs the Quaffle and rushes down toward Gryffindor's end, weaving and passing with skill, in a vicious, slicing shot on goal. Just when it appears it will clear the hoop, Ron flies out of nowhere and sends the Quaffle in the opposite direction. Ginny pauses on her broom, stunned.
"What's gotten into him?"
She glances up at Harry, circling high above and he grins. Just then, Carson streaks by, "Ginny! Let's go!"
She rolls backward, jets off and races down her fellow Chasers. Flying in spread formation, Carson, on the far side, starts the Quaffle 'up the line' until it lands in Ginny's hand.
Pitching herself into a wide slide to avoid a pair of bludgers, she leans recklessly off her broom and whips the Quaffle through the goal untouched.
As the crowd cheers, Lavender is screaming for Ron, and Hermione is clapping for her boyfriend. Gryffindor had won the match.
The room teems with students celebrating Gryffindor's victory. It feels like Mardi Gras. Or a riot. And Ron is right smack in the middle of it.
"Weasley! Weasley! Weasley!" The crowd cheers, as Carson and Hermione were in the corner of the room making out.
Harry takes his backslaps, smiling as he sips a Butterbeer and enjoys Ron's turn in the spotlight. Then, Hermione and Carson came over to him.
"Ron seems to be enjoying himself." Hermione commented with a smile, as Carson nodded.
"Yep. Apparently it's his lucky day."
"You shouldn't have done it, Harry." Carson muttered, as Hermione nodded her head.
"Yeah. I suppose I could've just used, I dunno... a Confundus charm?" Harry asked, Carson growing confused.
"What?"
"That was different. It was tryouts. This was an actual match." Hermione explained.
Harry took out the unopened vial and showed it to her. He had never slipped it in Ron's drink.
"You didn't put it in? Ron only thought you did?" Hermione asked, as Carson smiled and Harry nodded.
The three looked back at Ron, who was now kissing Lavender. Harry smiled for his friend, and so did Carson. Hermione looked a bit off, but she didn't like Lavender so that was probably it.
Carson and Hermione went off to their dorm, and right when Carson closed the door, Hermione silenced it and locked it. The rest of their night was spent together full of passion and lust, and it was their first time. They both had lost their virginity.
