"An unbreakable vow? Are you sure Harry?" Carson asked, Harry telling him and Ron what he heard after eavesdropping Malfoy and Snape's conversation when he left the party.

"Positive. Why?"

"Well, you can't break an unbreakable vow. You'll die!" Carson explained, Hermione entering the compartment and sitting on Carson's lap.

"Erm...Hermione why are you on his lap? There's room next to him." Ron asked, Hermione not answering and resting her head in the crook of Carson's neck. Carson wrapped his arms around her waist so she wouldn't fall and Ron didn't mention it after that.

"I'd worked that much out for myself, funnily enough." Harry told Carson, bringing their conversation back to the vow.

"Oh, bloody hell..." Ron mutters, as Lavender comes by and draws a heart with R + L inside before mouthing 'I miss you' and going back to her compartment.

"That's lovely. She's a big fan of PDA I see." Carson commented, as Ron scoffed.

"Look at you loverboy." Harry responded, motioning to Hermione asleep on his lap.

"All she wants to do is snog me. My lips are getting chapped. Look." Ron told them, pressing his lips together and leaning real close to Carson and Harry.

"We'll take your word for it."

The rest of the train ride went by peacefully, and soon Carson, Ron, and Harry were at the Burrow. When they arrived, Mary rushed over to Carson and gave him a very strong hug. Tonks and Remus were also there.

"Eat up, eat up, everyone! There's more to come!" Mrs. Weasley told the group, as everyone sat down for dinner.

"Draco's plotting something, I know it, something to do with Voldemort. He's been given a task or a mission and Snape was offering to help." Harry explained to Remus, Mary, and Tonks.

"Voldemort has chosen Draco Malfoy for a mission?" Remus asked, not believing Harry.

"I know it sounds mad..."

"Has it occurred to you, Harry, that Snape was simply pretending to offer Draco help so that he could find out what he's up to?"

"That's not what it sounded like." Harry defended, as Mary spoke up.

"Perhaps Harry's right, Remus. To make an Unbreakable Vow, after all..."

"It comes down to whether or not you trust Dumbledore's judgement. He trusts Snape. Therefore, I do." Remus dismissed.

"But Dumbledore can make mistakes. He's said it himself..."

"You're blinded by hatred." Remus stated simply, Carson scoffing but nobody paying attention to that.

"I'm not!"

"You are! People are disappearing, Harry. Daily. We can only put our trust in a handful of people. If we start fighting amongst ourselves, we're doomed." Remus told the boy. Harry sent a look to Mary, asking for backup, but all she did was give a look that said 'leave it'.

Carson and Ron were in his room, while Ginny and Harry were off somewhere. They were talking about quidditch when Carson noticed the group outside.

"Ron! Look!"

"What is it mate?" Ron asked, going over to his window.

"Oh my god..." Carson whispered, seeing Bellatrix outside looking on gleefully. Carson could smell the smoke and realized the house was on fire.

"Lets go! We need to get out!"

Both Carson and Ron ran out of the house, Ron making it out before Carson. Right as he made it out, the wood fell, blocking the exits.

"Carson! He's still in there!" Ron shouted.

"No!" Harry screamed.

"What?!" Mary shouted, worried for her son.

Carson ran back up the stairs to the nearest window. He couldn't open the windows on the second and third floor, but he could open them on the fourth. Gathering all his courage, he unlocked the window and climbed out, preparing to jump.

Once he jumped, he casted 'arresto momentum' and he fell down to the ground. He landed on the grass outside and started coughing, since he inhaled a lot of smoke.

"Carson! Are you okay?!" Mary shouted, examining her son for any injuries.

"I'm fine mum. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Everyone's okay." Mary told him, gesturing to everyone as they watched the burrow burn down. Carson got up and hugged Mrs. Weasley, who looked like she was about to burst into tears.

The rest of the break was spent at Marshall manor, which was much more dreary, since Mary was still grieving over Steven, and took down everything that reminded her of him. The house lacked the comfort it once had.
