The next morning, the four got ready to go to Gringotts. Harry was outside with Luna, and Hermione and Carson were waiting for Mary. She arrived via floo powder. She saw the two waiting for her, a bundle in Hermione's arms.
"Is that him?" Mary asked, eyeing the bundle.
"Yes, it is." Hermione whispered, smiling at the boy she was rocking in her arms, and then at Mary.
Mary walked over to them, as Hermione handed Steven to her.
"What's his name?"
"Steven Sirius Marshall." Carson said, seeing his mother genuinely smile for the first time in a while.
"You named him after your father, he would be so proud of you Carson." Mary told her son, as he nodded.
"I know. I know he would."
"Here, say your goodbyes, we have to go soon." Mary told them, handing Steven back to his father. Carson said his goodbyes, before handing the baby to Hermione, who whispered something to her son, before kissing his forehead and handing him back to Mary, a tear falling down her cheek.
Mary left the house with a cracking sound, apparating back to the safehouse she was in. Hermione looked at the spot she last was, already missing her son. Carson wrapped his arms around her, as she leaned into his embrace.
Hermione went to take the potion and change into Bellatrix, and Carson met back up with Ron and Harry, who were still outside. Ron had brown hair, and he didn't look like himself at all.
"You want to tell me what that is?" Ron asked, seeing Harry observe the mirror.
"Sirius gave it to me. He had a matching piece. He said if I ever needed him, all I had to do was look into it." Harry explained, as everyone looked confused.
"You mean he could see you?" Ron asked again.
"Something like that. I don't know. He died before I ever got to use it. The thing is..."
"Go on." Carson urged.
"You'll think I'm mental, but more than once, when I've looked into it, I think I've seen Dumbledore."
As Ron reacts, Harry's eyes shift. Bellatrix Lestrange and Griphook, clutching the sword, approach from the cottage.
"Bloody hell... that's a sight." Ron commented, Carson looking scared at the sight.
"Well, how do I look?" Hermione asked, looking exactly like Bellatrix.
"Scary."
"Hideous."
"Oh dear, I missed a spot, didn't I? Hold still..." Hermione told Ron, fixing a spot of ginger on his hair.
"Couldn't do anything about that bit in the back that's always flipping up, could you? Dead annoying." Ron asked, as Hermione glared at him, but it was Bellatrix's glare instead of hers.
"Never mind. I'm good." Ron dismissed, "That is you in there, isn't it?"
Harry turns his attention to Griphook, who is eyeing the sword.
"You can give that to Hermione to hold, all right, Griphook?" Harry commanded, as Griphook begrudgingly agreed. Hermione put it in her bag, and they all linked hands to apparate.
As they reappear, Harry, Ron and Griphook fall back into the shadows and Hermione, as Bellatrix, steps to the mouth of the alley to see if the coast is clear. A warlock passes.
"Madam Lestrange." The Warlock greeted.
"Good morning." Hermione told the warlock, a bit too cheerily.
The Warlock eyes her oddly, then continues on. As Hermione retreats back into the alley, Griphook emerges from the shadows, his voice harsh and mocking.
"Good morning? Good morning? You're Bellatrix Lestrange, not some dewy-eyed schoolgirl!" Griphook chides.
"Hey. Easy." Carson commands to the goblin.
"She gives us away and we might as well use that sword to slit our own throats. Understand?"
"He's right. I was being stupid." Hermione scolds herself, as Harry takes the invisibility cloak out.
"C'mon. Let's do it."
The group emerges into the bank, and the heist begins.
