The Boy Who Fought: OC X Hermione

Let Off

Harry had gotten back from his hearing, and as Carson and Hermione rushed down, they heard Fred and George.

"He got off! He got off!"

The couple arrived downstairs to see Harry and Sirius hugging, and Carson hugged Harry next.

"I knew they would let you off. There's no way they couldn't."

"Thanks Carson." Harry answered, Hermione hugging him tightly this time.

"Sirius, we saw Fudge talking with Lucius Malfoy on level nine again. Tell Dumbledore, next time he comes back will you?" Mr. Weasley asked, Sirius nodding. "Yeah, absolutely."

Suddenly, Harry collapsed to the floor, holding his scar. Everyone turned to see him on the floor writing in pain.

"Harry!" Carson shouted, dropping down to him and helping him to a chair. "Harry, are you alright? It's hurting again isn't it?"

"Yeah... I'm fine.... the pain is just getting stronger."

The rest of they day was spent cheerfully, everyone celebrating that Harry wasn't expelled from Hogwarts. Carson and Hermione were in their room when they got two owls, one for Carson, the other for Hermione.

"Must be our school lists." Carson muttered, as the two took the letters from the owls and let them go.

"Yeah. I've been made the female Gryffindor prefect! Carson! I'm a prefect!" Hermione exclaimed, as Carson smiled and connected their lips.

When they disconnected their lips Carson opened his other two letters. "Woah...Quidditch captain! And Prefect! I'm a prefect too! We're the Gryffindor prefects Hermione!"

"You got captain and prefect?! Carson! I'm so proud of you! That's amazing! I love you so much!" Hermione squealed, before kissing him again and talking about how they'll get more alone time during prefect duties.

The two made their way into Harry and Ron's room, Hermione bursting in as the two were on their beds.

"Harry! Ron! Carson and I are prefects! Did you two get your letters yet?"

"Good for you Hermione...and Carson." Ron muttered, looking at Carson weirdly. Carson just shook it off before talking.

"And I've been made quidditch captain! But, I have to make someone my co-captain, so Harry I was wondering if you could?" Carson asked, holding out the red and gold badge with the words, 'Co-Captain' shining.

"Sure! I'd love to."

"Great."

"Carson you're going to have a great team this year! I'm so proud of you!" Hermione squealed, kissing him again.

"We got our letters. Nothing besides the school lists." Ron stated, glaring at Carson. Hermione looked at Ron, with an equal glare he was giving Carson. She knew his glare was meant for her boyfriend.

"Well, we'll be off now. C'mon Carson!" Hermione cheered, grabbing Carson's hand, and walking off, but not before sending Ron another glare.

The rest of the summer was spent doing more cleaning, with the two lovers occasionally sneaking off for makeout sessions. Finally, the fateful day came where they got back onto the Hogwarts Express, starting their fifth year.

The friends split up when they got on, Carson and Hermione going to the prefect cart and the other boys going to find a compartment. Carson and Hermione met with the other prefects. Ravenclaw's were Padma Patil and Andrew Goldstein, Hufflepuffs were Hannah Abbott and Ernie McMillan, Slytherins were Pansy Parkinson and Draco Malfoy.

Before finding where Ron and Harry were, they both went to change into their robes. They had also found out prefects get their own dorms, but Carson and Hermione could share a dorm. Needless to say they agreed to share a dorm together.

Finally, they went to see Ron and Harry. They found the two and sat next to them, talking about who the prefects were and other things. Carson ended up falling asleep next to Hermione, and he was out for the rest of the ride.

When the train arrived to its destination they all exited the compartment and made their way to the carriages. Hermione and Carson did one last walk through the train, making sure everyone had gotten off. They found Harry and Ron again, and went to the carriages with them, starting their fifth year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
