The group went down to the dining room for dinner. Hermione and Carson were sat next to each other, hands connected under the table. Ron and Harry were seated next to the two, on the other side of Hermione.
Mr. Weasley and Charlie were talking in hushed voices, looking at piece of parchment. Mrs. Weasley got their attention, and they stopped as Sirius started to talk.
"Well, the ministry's furious with you." Sirius told Harry, as he expressed a look of confusion.
"Why?"
"You did magic in front of your muggle cousin." His godfather explained, "You'll have to go to a ministry hearing tomorrow."
"Okay." Harry stated, standing up from his seat. "Not really hungry. Think I'll go to bed."
"You surprise me Harry, I figured the first thing you'd do is start talking about Voldemort." Sirius told the boy, as he stopped dead in his tracks. Mrs. Weasley gave Sirius a glare, as he continued to stare at Harry.
Carson' grip on Hermione's hand got tighter, after hearing the name. The green light flashed in his mind, as Hermione gave his hand a squeeze, reassuring him she was there.
"I wanted to, but I didn't think you'd tell me anything." Harry explained, as Mrs. Weasley intervened. "That's quite right! Harry you're much too young..."
"He has a right to know Molly!" Steven said, everyone turning their attention. "We've told Carson everything. It's only fair, they faced him."
"It's not your decision! Neither of you!" Mrs. Weasley said, looking at Steven and Sirius.
"I know what Dumbledore said! But he needs to know something." Sirius commanded, Harry listening intently.
"Yeah!" Harry exclaimed, Hermione glaring at him making him sit down.
"He's not a child Molly." Steven muttered, as Mrs. Weasley heard. "He's not an adult either! He's not James!"
"I'm fully aware who he is." Sirius said stiffly. "I only have his best interests at heart Molly."
The next few minutes were more bickering, until Sirius had asked what Harry wanted to know.
"He's hiding at the moment, because the ministry is ignoring his return and he doesn't want that to change."
"You really messed things up that night Harry, you too Carson." Remus commented, speaking up for the first time tonight.
"Me? How?" Carson asked, as Steven and Mary shared a look.
"Son...you came back to life. Everyone saw you dead one minute, alive the next. The only person who's ever done that is Harry, and he didn't even die. But that was caused by Voldemort. There's no way, Harry, one of your best friends would take you to a graveyard and try to kill you. It had to be dark magic." Steven explained, as Mary sadly nodded.
"Oh...got it."
He was in his own little world, as Hermione was hugging him, trying to take the memories off his mind for now.
"And what's his plan?" Harry asked the group, as everyone looked around.
"He's building up his army again. Just like before." Sirius stated, as Mary nodded.
"And you're stopping him from gaining followers?" Harry asked again, eyeing the group of adults.
"We're trying our best. But its proving to be.... difficult." Mary said, trailing off.
After a few more pieces and bits of what's going on, Sirius said the most important part. "He's looking for something... a weapon. One that he didn't have last time."
"What kind of weapon?"
"I'm sorry Harry, we cant say anything more. Off to bed, all of you." Mary said, kissing her son's head and ushering him, along with the others upstairs for the night.
The next day Harry was off to his hearing, everyone was really nervous for it. Hermione had assured them all they couldn't expel him, since he had used magic to save his life and it would be considered self-defense.
Harry was off to his hearing, Ron mad that Harry got a hug from Hermione and not him. "Ronald, when you're going to a ministry hearing and might be expelled, than you can have a hug." Hermione said coolly, before connecting her lips with Carson's, who had just appeared.
The couple spent the rest of the morning together, cuddling in bed. Ron had gone off to who knows where after giving them weird looks, seeing the two cuddling in bed. After a few hours, Harry had come back from his hearing. Carson and Hermione ran downstairs to see if he was let off.
