Malfoy hustles through the hall as Harry chases him. Carson is following shortly behind as he enters the bathroom after Harry.
"You cursed her, didn't you? You cursed Katie Bell." Harry asked.
Malfoy didn't respond, and turned to face Harry with water dripping down his face. Carson walked over to Harry and got in front of him.
"Harry, don't do anything stupid. Malfoy might not have done it." Carson reasoned, as Harry scoffed.
"You a death eater now Carson? Are you taking his side?"
"Have you met me? Of course not! My father was killed by them! Why would I join them?!"
"Cruci..." Malfoy started, aiming for Harry, and he shot a spell back.
"SECTUMSEMPRA!" Harry casted, not looking where he was firing and accidentally hitting Carson. He dropped to the floor and started whimpering in pain, as gashes formed on his body and blood spurted out of them. Water was on the floor as well, from the sink overflowing, and the water was mixed with Carson's blood.
Harry rushed over to Carson, who tried to swat him away. "Don't touch me! Don't you dare touch me Harry! I told you! I told you not to do anything! I told you to get rid of the book! I told you not to use unknown spells! Don't make it worse!" Carson yelled, as Harry was taken aback by his outburst.
Harry was whisked to the side by dark robes which turned out to be Snape's. He hovered over Carson and muttered a few spells, the wounds knitting themselves back to normal and the blood going back into his body. Malfoy was long gone, and Harry backed away and eventually ran out the door and straight to the Gryffindor common room, most likely going to Hermione.
The four, plus Ginny were sat in the hospital wing, Hermione death glaring Harry, probably planning his murder. Carson was unconscious and Hermione was right by his side. The room was silent, until Ginny spoke up.
"You have to get rid of it. Today."
"Harry or the book?" Hermione questioned, still glaring at Harry. "You could've killed him. You could've killed my boyfriend, your best friend. You're lucky if I don't kill you now."
"I didn't mean to Hermione. He got in the way of..."
"I don't care if he got in the way! He was trying to stop you from doing something stupid! And even then you didn't listen! You shouldn't have used it in the first place! You are such an idiot! You could've taken the love of my life away from me! You nearly killed him! He told you to get rid of the book! I told you to as well! And you didn't! Go get rid of the stupid book before I do it myself! Go! Go get rid of it now!" Hermione screeched.
Ginny and Harry exited the Hospital wing, going off to hide the book. Ron left shortly after, seeing Hermione's outburst and not wanting to be on the receiving end, and Hermione stayed in her chair next to Carson, watching his chest heave up and down. She watched him sleep, glad he wasn't killed. When he woke up, Ginny and Harry were here, along with Ron and Hermione.
"So, did you get rid of the book?" Carson asked, "Sorry for yelling at you earlier Harry. You know, after you hit me."
"It's okay Carson. Don't worry."
"So did you do it?"
"What?"
"Hide the damned book of course! The one that you got a spell from that nearly killed Carson." Hermione muttered, pecking her boyfriend's cheek and moving the hair from his face.
"Oh. Yeah."
Slughorn walks into the hospital wing, taking something from Madame Pomfrey, looking at Harry before leaving.
"Still no luck with Slughorn, I take it?"
"Nope."
