Carson had been at the burrow with Ron and his family for about two weeks now. They had spent the majority of their days playing quidditch and testing out Carson's new broom. Carson was going to the Quidditch world cup as well, so he was pretty excited.
Hermione and him had been in close contact with each other, writing letters just about every day and each other's necklace's going off at least ten times a day. She was also coming to the Quidditch world cup, along with Harry as well. They weren't here yet; they weren't coming for another day or two. Hermione was coming they morning they left for the world cup.
Carson had all his stuff at the Burrow as well, since after the quidditch world cup, he was going to stay here until school started back up for the year.
When Hermione arrived, they would be sharing a room together, but Mrs. Weasley had given Carson strict instructions of no funny business. He was sleeping in the room alone, until Hermione came.
Harry arrived today, and took Carson's firebolt for a spin, as he hadn't gotten to last year before they had to leave. They spent the day like usual, playing quidditch. This time there were an even number of people. Harry, Ron, Fred, George, Carson, and Ginny had all wanted to play, so nobody had to sit out like usual. It was Carson, Harry, and Ron against Fred, George, and Ginny. But every team took turns with the firebolt, since it was faster than all of the other brooms combined.
As they played Quidditch, Percy was doing work most of the day. Carson rarely saw Percy apart from meals. He was shut up in his room or at the ministry office. During dinner, he would bore everyone with his work talk. Carson could swear he was going to marry it one day, the way he talked about it.
Carson had also seen the oldest Weasleys, Bill and Charlie. They had met before, but Carson was younger, so he doesn't really know them like he knows Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny.
The day came to an end and they were all talking about quidditch.
"You know Ron, Ginny, you two should try out! Ron could be a keeper since Oliver Wood left, and Ginny could be a chaser!" Carson said at the table, as Fred and George nodded.
"Yeah Ron. You'd make a good keeper. Use your head to save a few, it would explain the missing braincells." Ginny said, as she continued to eat.
"Shut up Ginny!" Ron groaned and continued to eat.
"The World Cup is tomorrow! Fred and I saved up for this!" George said, changing the topic.
"Yep! Mum and dad gave me some money for it. Ron's probably going to buy a Krum doll. It'll be nice for him to know not all his fans are teenage girls." Carson said, nudging Ron playfully.
"He's a great player! He's the youngest to ever be in the world cup!" Ron argued, as Carson and the twins started laughing at him.
"You act like you're married to him Ronniekins." George started, "Personally, we would like an invite to the wedding." Fred finished. They both laughed, along with Ginny, Harry, and Carson.
"Quit laughing Carson! You're with Hermione!" Ron argued.
"Hey, this isn't about me! Besides, Hermione would look good at the alter with me." Carson said, shrugging his shoulders.
"I am so telling her you said that!" Ginny shouted.
"Lover boy here, and Hermione do make a good couple." George said, "Yeah, they're sickeningly adorable." Fred continued off of his twin.
"Anyway, who are you guys rooting for to win the cup?" Carson switched the topic.
"Ireland!" Fred, George, and Ginny shouted.
"Bulgaria." Ron said, because he has a man crush on Viktor Krum, the Bulgarian seeker.
"Ireland all the way." Carson said, high fiving Ginny.
The kids went off to bed for the night, needing their rest for the early departure tomorrow. Carson couldn't wait to see Hermione again.
