The four walked into the hall, where people were watching others put their names in the goblet. Carson and Hermione sat down, reading her book together. Hermione's free arm was holding Carson's waist close, as his was wrapped over her shoulder.

"People have gotten splinched in this tournament! More than once!" Hermione said, astounded they would let this tournament take place again.

"Splinched?" Dean asked, Seamus shaking his head, "Dunno. But it doesn't sound good."

"It's not." Carson whispered, speaking for one of the first times since DADA class.

"Potter. Marshall." Cedric greeted the two with a nod, before putting his name in the fire.

"Eternal glory. Be brilliant wouldn't it? Three years from now, when we're old enough to be chosen." Ron said dreamily

"Better you than me." Harry stated, having enough fame, and not wanting to risk his life.

"I would never put my name in. It's too dangerous." Carson said, his voice not leaving a whisper, but Ron, Harry, and Hermione hearing it. Hermione just kissed his cheek, and putting her head on his shoulder, before returning back to her book.

Viktor Krum walked in next, and put his name into the flames, and Ron fangirled over him. He walked back over to his Durmstrang friends, not looking, or talking to anyone from another school that wasn't his.

"I hope Krum gets picked! That would be awesome!" Ron raved excitedly; he might as well get an I heart Viktor Krum tattoo while he's at it.

Fred and George now came running in, high fiving people along the way. "We've done it lads!" Fred shouted, "Just cooked it up this morning!" George shouted after his brother. They held up the vials, as Hermione spoke up.

"It's not going to work." She told the twins in a sing song voice.

"Yeah? And why's that Granger? Or should I say Mrs. Marshall?" George said without skipping a beat, making both Hermione and Carson go red.

"Because a genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by a dodge as pathetically dimwitted as an ageing potion!" As Hermione shut her book loudly.

"That's what makes it so brilliant, it's so pathetically dimwitted." Fred stated, Hermione giving him an expectant look.

"Go on then." She commanded, as they took the potion.

"Bottoms up!" Both twins said, taking their swig of the potion. They both put their names in, but they get flung back out, with gray beards. As they're fighting on the ground, Carson connects his lips with Hermione's and she melts into it, keeping their lips connected for as long as possible.

"You really do know everything don't you?" Carson asked once they separated, watching the Weasley twins fight on the floor with giant beards.

During dinner in the great hall, the goblet of fire started spewing purple flames.

"Did you hear? Not a single Beauxbatons student put their name in!" Dean told the Gryffindors sat near him.

"Really?!" Ron shouted, sadden by this news as he looked over at the Ravenclaw table where they were normally sat. "They've gone home?!"

"Cant say I'm surprised. Those girls were a tad high strung if you ask me. Only cared about making heart eyes at my boyfriend." Hermione mumbling that last part under her breath.

Suddenly, a Beauxbatons girl walks forward with her little sister, and put's her name into the goblet.

"Oh, for crying out loud!" Hermione shouted, putting her head in her hands. Carson just kissed the top of her head and brought her into a hug.

"Thank you ladies of Beauxbatons for that enjoyable bit of theater. Now...the moment has arrived."
