Carson and Harry were in the Gryffindor common room doing their homework when Hermione walked in and made her way over to the two.
"Have any of you seen Ron? I can't find him anywhere and I need my homework back. I shouldn't have let him use it in the first place."
"No I haven't."
"I haven't either. He's been avoiding me for some reason."
"He's been acting fishy all week. He's up to something." Hermione stated, Carson nodding his head as Harry packed his stuff up.
"Well, another night, another detention. Have fun lovebirds."
Harry exited the common room, leaving Carson and Hermione alone together. Carson looked at his watch, realizing he had quidditch tryouts to attend to.
"I have to go to quidditch tryouts 'Mione. I'll see you later!" Carson told her, kissing her cheek, and leaving the common room and getting his things before making his way to the quidditch pitch. When he arrived, he saw Ron with the others who wanted to try out.
"Ron? This is what you've been up to?"
"Yep! I'm going out for keeper! I've been practicing all week!"
Soon enough, tryouts started and after an hour the new Gryffindor quidditch team was formed. Ron was the new keeper, replacing Oliver Wood, Harry would still be seeker, Carson, Angelina, and Katie bell as the chasers and Fred and George as the beaters. They all made their way back to the common room; Ron in a pleasant mood and for once not acting weird towards Carson.
When they got there, Harry had walked in shortly after, looking pale and clutching his hand.
"Harry! I tried out for quidditch keeper at the tryouts! I'm on the team!" Ron exclaimed happily, as Harry nodded weakly.
Everyone took sight of Harry, as he was pale and could barely stand on his own two feet. Then, he collapsed to the floor, Carson and Ron rushing over to catch him and set him down on a couch.
"Harry...bloody hell..."
"He's got to be taken to the hospital wing!" Hermione shouted, as she walked over to the group.
"No. Can't give...Umbridge the satisfaction..."
"Umbridge did this?" Fred asked, his face going white.
"You said she was making you do lines mate!"
"She is. But the quill has some sort of spell on it. It uses blood for ink."
"That old hag! She's vile! She made Carson do that too! Oh Harry, you've got to go to Dumbledore. You cant keep this up." Hermione told him, being the voice of reason.
"No, I'm not telling anyone."
"Harry, I really think you should tell..."
"No! I don't need his help. I don't need anyone's help."
With that, Harry rushed up to his dorm, leaving everyone back in the common room to worry. Carson and Hermione shared a glance, before going up to their dorm. The next day, Harry was sat at the tables scribbling on some parchment, as the three arrived.
"Hagrid's still not back yet. I hope he's all right..." Hermione told the group, starting a conversation.
"I've asked Sirius about it." Harry stated bluntly motioning at his parchment, earning a shocked look from the bushy haired girl.
"Harry, you cant write to him! Owls are being intercepted! It isn't safe!"
"Don't worry Hermione, I wrote it in code. Anyway, I figured I needed to tell someone about Umbridge. My scar hurt last night in detention."
"Always knew she was a bit flashy." Ron commented, earning a nod from Carson.
"Do you think she's a death eater? One in disguise?"
"Well, it's a possibility isn't it?"
Hermione looked at Harry and Carson dubiously, paying no attention to Ron. Ron looked at the two warily, before turning to Hermione, indicating for her to say something.
"I suppose so. He could have her under the imperious curse, though it's unlikely. Dumbledore would know." She stated with Carson nodding in agreement.
"Yeah but Dumbledore didn't have a choice did he? She'd been sent here by the ministry." Carson commented, Hermione taking out a copy of the daily prophet.
"Anything about Harry in there?" Ron asked, Hermione shaking her head.
"No. Nothing. Look at this!" Hermione commanded, all four looking at the article she was reading.
"Trespass at the ministry. Sturgis Podmore has appeared before the wizengamot with charges of trespass and attempted robbery at the ministry of magic on the thirty first of August. He was arrested when found trying to break into top security door at one in the morning. Podmore was convicted and sentenced to six months in Azkaban."
"Sturgis Podmore?"
"He's apart of the order!" Ron shouted, Hermione and Carson shushing him immediately.
"Quiet!"
"Do you suppose it was a frame up?" Carson asked, stopping abruptly as Dean Thomas walked by.
"Come on, we'll be late for charms if we don't hurry."
"Right. Let's go 'Mione." Carson told his girlfriend, taking her hand in his as they ventured to their next class.
"You go on without me. I want to send this." Harry called out, as the couple kept walking and whispering to each other and laughing, before connecting their lips together.
