Flying to the Ministry

"How do we fly? We've got no brooms." Harry asked, as Carson and Luna looked at each other thinking the same thing.

"Leave that to us." They both said in unison as Carson ran into the forest and returned with nothing, only few could see what he actually had gotten.

"I mean, they can fly, and they're quite good at finding places." Luna replied dreamily once Carson was back.

"There's nothing here." Hermione told them, as Harry shook his head.

"Thestrals. Good thinking."

"Now, pair up. A person who sees them should pair with a person who does not." Carson commanded, as people started pairing.

"What? There's nothing there."

"I'm surprised the smartest witch I know doesn't know what a thestral is 'Mione."

"They can only be seen by those who have witnessed death." Luna explained, as Neville spoke up.

"I see them too."

"All right then. Get on one and we'll be off." Harry told the group, as everyone climbed on. Hermione was more than a little freaked out, but also shared a kiss with Carson fifty feet in the air.

It took hours, but they finally had arrived at the ministry building. Everyone got off the thestrals and Hermione and Ron were more than glad to be off.

"Never again...never make me do that again Carson.

"I won't. I promise."

"Now, what do we do? Harry?"

"We go in and save Sirius and Steven."

The group went inside and got inside an elevator going to the department of mysteries. The ministry was empty, which is probably how Voldemort got in unnoticed.

"Department of mysteries." The voice sounded out, and the group got off and walked down the hallway. It was quiet and the only sounds were their shoes hitting the floor as they walked.

"Where is everyone?"

"The ministry closed half an hour ago Harry. They probably have all gone home."

"That's how he got in unnoticed. It makes sense now. This is it. Cmon. Stay close."

Harry opened the door and stepped into the room, the others following behind. When Neville came into the room, the door closed behind him with a loud bang. There were a few doors that all looked identical.

"Now where Harry?"

"I don't know Ginny. The doors were not identical in my dream."

"Well, let's try a few."

"Smart as always 'Mione."

"Yeah. I'll know the way when I see it."

Harry opens the door to one room and steps inside. There's nothing but a veil in the corner of the room, and Harry moves closer to it.

"Who's there?" Harry asks as if there were voices.

"Sirius?" He calls out again, as Hermione went over to him.

"There's no one here Harry. This isn't the right room."

"Does anyone else hear that?"

"Yes, it's coming from the veil." Luna answered Harry, as they both looked at it with great interest.

"Harry...."

"There are people in there!"

"What do you mean Luna? People?"

"Harry, I think we should leave."

"I agree with 'Mione. Maybe dad and Sirius are in a different room."

Harry walks closer to the veil, as Hermione rushes over and grabs his hand, as he was about to put it through the veil.

"Harry...we're here for Sirius and Steven remember?"

"Sirius...Steven...yeah."

Hermione ushers Harry out of the room and they move onto the next door. The door is locked, so Harry pulls out his wand.

"Alohomora!" Harry casted, as the door remained shut and locked.

"Whatever's in there, the ministry doesn't want anyone getting to it." Harry told the group, as Carson opened the next door. The next room was covered in clocks, and it seemed like Harry recognized this one.

"This is it! Come on!" Harry shouted as he led them down the room and to another door. "This is where Sirius and Steven are!" Harry opens the door and charges through.

In the room where many crystal balls stacked up at least fifty feet high, the room was long and completely filled with these except for the hallways to walk through.

"They're in here somewhere..."

"Harry can we hurry up and save my father please?"

"Sorry, yeah lets go."

As Harry led them throughout the room, they stopped in a nearly empty area.

"Harry...Carson...I don't think Sirius and Steven are here."

"Hey Harry, have you seen this? It's got your name on it."
