If Carson wanted to find Harry, Hermione, and Ron he had to think like Harry, Hermione and Ron. His first stop would be Godric's Hollow, since it was where Harry was born and meant something to him, Carson figured he would go there. All he had to do was find it.

As Carson started walking to where he thought Godric's hollow was, he started thinking about Hermione. She was pregnant, and he was the father. But he didn't know if they were okay. He assumed they were, since Hermione had sent a light back to him, but he didn't know if the baby was still okay. He was assuming it was, since Hermione had not been hit with any spells.

Carson first went into a nearby shop and changed clothes into something more warm and comfortable. He had gotten the appropriate clothing to go walking to Godric's hollow that he didn't know how long it would take.

As he walked, he realized he could get there faster if he had apparated to Marshall manor, since it was close to Godric's hollow. But, it was probably swarmed with death eaters. He chose not to take the risk, and walked along on foot.

He didn't keep track of the days as he walked, but soon realized he was going in the completely wrong direction and had to start back from square one. He probably had been walking for about a week, but he had a new plan, he was going to let everyone know he was looking for them.

He apparated to the Dursley's old house, and walked around there, hoping to be spotted by a disguised wizard or witch. When he thought he saw someone recognize him, he hid in an abandoned building and waited it out. Back with the group, they couldn't apparate anywhere since Ron had been splinched.

As the days went by, Hermione had become more dedicated to locating horcruxes and how to destroy them. She talked less and less, and read more and more.

When she had gone to watch around the tent they were in one night, she found a copy of the daily prophet, the one she had been hoping for.

"Boys! Boys!" Hermione yelled as she ran into the tent, both of them turning to her. "He's alive! He's looking for us! He's looking for me and the baby!" Hermione held up the paper. There it was, the headline 'MARSHALL SPOTTED IN SURREY' on the front page. And that was the first day Hermione smiled since she had been separated from Carson.

About a month later, Carson had arrived in Godric's hollow. He didn't know if they had already been here, so he just had to wait it out. He found an abandoned house to stay in, and while it wasn't the cleanest or safest, it would work.

Carson had figured they had not been here, since they would probably have been spotted in a busy area like this, but that might be exactly why they chose not to go here.

At the time when he arrived, he had no clue what day or month it was, just that it had started snowing. It was probably around November or early December. In the meantime, Carson had stolen a coat and hat from a donation box nearby to keep him warm and went to the nearby pub's dumpster to find food scraps to get him by.

One thing Carson also realized, the necklace's didn't work from far distances, so he figured they were pretty far away from Godric's hollow. He just hoped that they would come here sometime soon. Carson didn't know how Sirius did this, making him even more happy to name their son after him.

Finally, Christmas day came and he had been able to send a light to Hermione. But he still didn't know where she was, just that she was close by.
