"Sirius?" Harry asked, going closer to the fire.

"Right you are. Got your letter and thought we should talk in person." Sirius said, craning his neck to the letter.

"What was that?"

"Letter from Percy."

"Yeah, full of the usual rubbish."

"Except he did mention that Dumbledore might be around much longer." Hermione cut in, Sirius turning to her.

"It doesn't surprise me. Fudge wants him out."

"Why?"

"He's worried Dumbledore is trying to turn students against the ministry."

"Well, I don't think he's doing that. He's been ignoring us all year, why start turning us against the law now?" Carson told Sirius, and Sirius paid him no mind.

"Well, that would explain why Umbridge isn't teaching us anything useful in defense against the dark arts." Hermione said, everyone nodding their head in agreement.

"Exactly. The ministry doesn't want you trained in combat."

"What does he think Dumbledore is going to do, raise an army?" Harry asked theoretically, and Carson sharing an idea.

"Wait! It makes sense. If we like broke the ministry we could prove Voldemort is back!"

"Don't be stupid Carson. Harry, that's exactly what Fudge is worried about. Fudge is getting more paranoid about Dumbledore every day." Sirius explained, an awkward silence throughout the room.

"What do you know about Umbridge?" Harry asked Sirius.

"She's a nasty piece of work. Apparently she hates part humans."

"Could she be a death eater?"

"The order seriously doubts it."

"Get it? Seriously. But your name is Sirius so it's like.." Carson tried to but in, but Hermione stopped him.

"Not now love, this is important!"

"She's no picnic, but she's no death eater."

"But she's evil."

"The world isn't spilt into the order and death eaters Harry. As to your questions about Hagrid, well, nobody is really sure what happened to him. He was supposed to be back a while ago."

"What?" Hermione asked, afraid he was in trouble.

"Dumbledore's not worried about him though. He's tough. He'll be alright."

"But if he was supposed to be back by now..." Carson and Ron said in unison, growing worried for him.

"Look, asking questions about him will only make it more obvious that he's not back." Sirius snapped, as he looked at the wall with concern. Suddenly, a stubby finger reached into the fire, trying to reach Sirius's head.

"Go! Get out of here!" Sirius commanded, and all four ran to their dormitories.

The next day, Hermione and Carson were sat at the great hall having breakfast, as Harry and Ron came over. They all sat together and talked before Hermione's copy of the Daily Prophet came.

"I cannot believe it!" Hermione exclaimed, as they crowded around the paper.

"Ministry passes educational decree number twenty-three: Dolores Umbridge high inquisitor?!" Carson read out, not believing the headline.

"What does that even mean?" Ron asked, as Carson shrugged his shoulders.

"It says here that the high inquisitor has the power to inspect all of the teachers."

"You're kidding!"

"That's not all. The high inquisitor also has the power to sack teachers as well." Hermione read out, as Fred and George came by.

"So, seen the news have you?" George asked, and Fred finished, "Personally, I envy you four."

"Why's that?"

"Umbridge is inspecting McGonagall in your period. That old toad won't know what hit her."

"Oh, to be a youth again, to experience the innocent glee of watching Umbridge be destroyed by the greatest head of Gryffindor this century."

"Well, we'll expect a full report after."

"Complete with facial expressions."

Soon enough, it was time for class. Carson and Hermione went off to Arithmancy and Harry and Ron went to divination. Their classes went by fine, with Trelawney getting inspected by Umbridge. Apparently, it did not go well for her.

The day of classes went by nicely, and soon enough the quartet was making their way to Hogsmeade.

"Where are we going Hermione?" Harry asked, as Hermione led the group confidently, holding Carson's hand tightly.

"There we are." Hermione stated, as they walked to The Hog's Head

"The hogs head Hermione? Really?" Ron complained, as Hermione rolled her eyes at him.

"Come on. I'll explain in a minute."
