Hermione and Carson went off to the bookshop in hogsmeade, hoping to get more books for Hermione as a valentines day present. As expected, she had the time of her life picking out books to read, and Carson paid for all of them.
Hermione ended up picking four books to read, before they made their way to the tea shop. They both sat down in a booth, both were very close to each other but didn't complain. They talked about random things, some about their future, and others about the O.W.L.s that Hermione was nervous for.
After their tea, they went shopping in the quidditch store. Hermione didn't buy anything, but Carson had the time of his life telling her different facts about different brooms and supplies they had. He ended up getting new gloves and glasses for quidditch, paid for by Hermione as a present for valentines day.
They both shared many kisses throughout their date and both had gone to the three broomsticks laughing and looking much happier than they did before. They met up with Harry and went to sit at a table with Rita Skeeter.
"What's this all about?"
"That's what little miss perfect's about to tell us."
"Call Hermione that one more time and I'll trap you back in that jar and throw you in the black lake and let you sink." Carson threatened, as Rita was taken aback.
"Right, well, I figured that with all the negative press out about Harry, he should have a chance to defend himself. All of the details, what happened last summer, the truth about Sirius Black and Voldemort, not to mention all the names of the death eaters on the loose."
"The prophet will never publish that. It goes against the public mood."
"Well it doesn't matter. We've found a publisher for the article."
"Who?"
"My father. He's the editor for the quibbler." Luna interjected as Rita laughed out loud.
"The quibbler? You think people will take Harry Potter seriously if he's published in the quibbler? It's nothing but a conspiracy theory, cock-and-bull story tabloid."
"Some won't believe Harry. That's true. But every person we do convince is one new ally." Carson told Rita, as she begrudgingly got out her quill and parchment.
"So Harry, ready to tell the public the truth?"
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Fire away Rita." Carson told the reporter, as the couple sat back and drank their butterbeer.
A few days later, the golden quartet was sitting having breakfast when an owl dropped the Quibbler.
"Look Harry! It's your article!"
Before Harry could respond, more owls came in with many more letters.
"What?"
"Fan mail. From the article."
"What article may that be my dear?" Umbridge asked, appearing from behind.
"I have just published an article telling the real story about what really happened last June."
"Where is the article?" Umbridge spat angrily, Hermione showing her the Quibbler.
"Right. I will confiscate this. Anyone found with the possession of this magazine will be expelled."
Hermione giggled in triumph as Carson looked at her confused.
"Why are you happy about this 'Mione?"
"Because love, she's done it to herself. Banning the article will only make people want to read it more!"
"You really are the smartest witch I know."
"I know you love me."
"I definitely do love you."
